Kali Linux 2022 vs Ubuntu 22.04: RAM Usage

I'm crying for your keyboard 😂

I'm going to try Kali. After running Ubuntu 14.04 for years I did a fresh install of 22.04. Now the computer won't come to life after "sleep" and it restarts with errors, takes a few times to get it back running. Who would think going newer would perform worse?! 8GB ram, SSD HD.

Ubuntu getting lots of bugs and is becoming unstable 😭

Ubuntu 22.04 uses 1.6 gigs of ram on idle, for me at least

I am really confused, I want to get linux but I don't know which one
I want to revive my old 13 years old laptop with linux and learn hacking on it at the same time
so should I use lubuntu? (and then install hacking tools) Or should I use the kali linux?
Please answer me (And if you prefer lubuntu, tell me how to install all the hacking tools on it)
