What about seeing how much the badge and backing contributes to their success by moving the entire squad to the opposite club eg 1st place squad is swapped with 20th place squad, 2-19, 3-18 etc

Video suggestion: try and kill Man City

Play as a believable Man City manager (Ie don’t create a manager with deliberately terrible stats) and then see how permanently you can break City’s dominance.

If it’s not too hard maybe try a couple of strategies:

On one try, shock and awe, sell everyone, play dumb formations, play everyone out of position etc.

On another try, act like you want to keep the job but just try and sneak some damage in there slowly over time. Sell mid tier players and replace them with not quite as good players. Subtly upset Star players. Maybe have high determination and see if you can force the board to agree to a couple of bad decisions.

Once you get fired in any scenario, simulate 10 years and see where the team ends up.

Basically see if their resources make them invincible or a few months/years of deliberately bad management could still kick them into a downward spiral

It was funny to see you giving your impressions without really recalibrating to the fact that this is what a draft should do. No team owns 20 of the best 30 players, so of course none of these lists is going to look particularly great when you compare it to real teams

Can you try also redrafting them every season with the bottom placed choosing first? Dunno how it would work with contracts and stuff, but it would be interesting to see

The added players is like the issue I was having in creating custom leagues in previous NHL game: The teams will randomly pick up free agents that would normally not play for those teams.
