you should try the flesh that hates mod, it's a mod inspired by the SCP of the same name and has been out for a few years way before the wave of horror mods.

also, sophisticated backpacks is a great backpack mod if you need one.

Honestly I LOVE the concept of cryptid. It goes so far "off the script" of the usual horror mods, and actually changes the game in a meaningful way, instead of just "Here's a jumpscare/scawy mob". It also has mad cry of fear vibes.
