Question? What brand and type of video camera are you using to shoot this video ? It would help me in my practice.

Streaming aggregator, the beauty of streaming is if you have a specific program in mind, the beauty of cable is a much easier time channel surfing.

I have been streaming for a while but also have cable. I'm wanting to cut the cable so watched this video and got more info on what I need. So I'm getting that I need to make a note of the shows and programs I watch regularly and set up my streaming for that. I already have Peacock and Parament + one as a Walmart+ customer and one on special for a year. I know I have to have wify for my computer. So I need a router, for my streaming, door bell ect. with speed to handle all the things I want to watch and use my computer for. My main tv is new and has all the apps, I have a Roku for my other older TV's. Looks like I need a service to be able to watch most of what we like along with a router for the wify.

About to change from dsl ATT and DirecTV satellite to starlink. What number or numbers do I call to cancel both ATT services? I’m under no contracts. I see directTV is no longer with ATT. Also what is DirecTV stream like? And does it have a contract? Surely not. New subscriber here. Thanks for you education on all this!!

If CBS, NBC, ABC and FOX stop intentionally sabotaging Over The Air TV with reality shows and game shows all because they're trying to get you over to a pay platform maybe you wouldn't need to Stream or have Cable, their needs to be Congressional hearings on the obvious collusion the Networks are engaged in to make OTA a wasteland

Why cut the cable? The only streaming service that will save you money is actually Netflix and they do not go live, nor bring sports, All the others send out fake adds of low cost but as you get in, there are limits and extras you have to pay for. One thing to remember is that you have to also continue to pay for your internet in order to get these services online, so that is an extra 40, 50, or $60 added to the streaming cost.

I'm paying about $100/month on Dish, who I have been with for nearly 27 years. Most of all of our household viewing is now 'streaming' The viewing we now do via Dish are news channels and maybe three or four others. What I am now paying for is skipping commercials, especially the news channels where a four minute break is the norm. We watch almost nothing "live", delaying any show using a formula of 15mins/hr of viewing time. I know some paid streaming services allow me to 'skip' content BUT the damn dish remote has that fantastic :30 forward and :10 back button. It's those two buttons I pay some $100 a month for. Is there any service that replicates this function?

I desperately need to make a few decisions on cutting the cord. I am currently with WOW, If I leave that company totally do I need to go purchase my own modem since the 1 I have is theirs? I do have my own router which is netgear but its old. Do you recommend purchasing a new one also? Currently im thinking of going with hulu due to the channels i want to watch. I am about to call WOW to ask how low they can offer me. My service has gone up for only basic internet and basic cable to 175.00...My next door neighbor is getting xfnity internet for 28 pr month.

Here's what we like about cable is the menu and the E-Z guide. Amazon fire stick, Apple TV,
Not sure about Roku they don't have guides that come up on the screen like the cable. we like a guide on the screen like what cable offers. Otherwise, it's feels like you're blindfolded and you just pick any random program and waste your time.

If your paying too much for internet just go to their local office and tell them if they don't lower your monthly bill that you will drop them and get internet from someplace else. Just make sure there are other providers near you. My wife and I did this and they cut our internet bill from $99.00 a month to $55.00 a month.

Does the quoted $217 include internet service too? It is never clear what people are comparing. I cannot believe just cable tv is over $200/month. I think Spectrum Silver is under $110 before taxes and local fees.

I cut the cord a few years ago and switched to hulu live. If my son did not set everything up, I would still have Dish Network. I think the older crowd might have trouble hooking up everything and working it. Maybe it is just me being out of the loop of latest and greatest electronics. My son showed me you tube and how to comment. Thank you for the videos

My biggest want in this shift is to retain a central menu where I can click through all the stuff on at the moment or later on. I have a great antena (that I have to shift imput on to access). Sling is supposed to integrate over the air channels with streamed channels in one menu. Any other streaming or cable substitute services allow for this?

I did not switch to streaming from satellite TV until late 2020. My fear of buffering is what held me back. I have cable internet, but it is the cheapest tier, $27.99 per month, total. I was afraid it would not be enough for two TVs, plus VOIP phone service. I tested the speed and I get 23 mbps down, and it works great with TouTube TV. I was paying $80.20, to Dish each month for a tier that did not include ESPN, I now pay $68.24, for YTTV. I appreciate the savings, and I especially like being able to access TV on my computer. No more receiver rentals. Oh, and no more climbing up to clear snow off of the dish! One of my best decisions.
