Matpat:THE WALTEN FILES HAS LEAD ME HERE I WILL NOW DISECT THE INTIRE SONG FOR
L O R E.
This song perfectly portrays the Walten Files in a way. The "wine" part referring to Felix and the "roses" referencing to Rosemary. Can't wait for TWF 4.
Oh, and 5 and 6 are releasing a week apart next month, guys!
Walten Files: Souvenir
Better Call Saul: Wine and Roses
I am so lucky to have lived back then.
ОтветитьSouvenir.
ОтветитьOne of the best movies of its time! Jack Lemmon at his greatest. 100% fine.
ОтветитьSouvenir moment
Ответитьstill the best depiction of alcoholism ever filmed
ОтветитьJust a passing breeze filled with memories. Wow. What a sad and beautiful song.
Ответитьthe walten files fans: allow me to introduce myself
ОтветитьLmao I’m here from the walten files newest update
Ответить4 is near guys. twf shall rise again
ОтветитьItd a lesson learned
ОтветитьBeautiful 🎵
ОтветитьExcellent work all the way ..THE BEST!
ОтветитьJack Lemmon stated that he was so into the part, that he had trouble recovering, particularly the scene where he had to be restrained in the depth of his alcoholism.
ОтветитьSuperb.
ОтветитьThe days of wine and roses,
Laugh and run away,
Like a child at play,
Through a meadowland,
Toward a closing door,
A door marked never more,
That wasnt there before.
The lonely night discloses,
Just a passing breeze,
Filled with memories,
Of the golden smile,
That introduced me to,
The days of wine and roses,
And you!
The lonely night discloses,
Just a passing breeze,
Filled with memories,
Of the golden smile,
That introduced me to,
The days of wine and roses,
And you!
This song takes you into a realism that's powerful. "A door locked never more that was not there before..." Sad and poignant. ❤😢
ОтветитьThe writer of this song Johnny mercer was himself an alcoholic which adds to the weight
of this brilliant film/song look out also for the Nina and Fredrik version of his song charade
Mancini was THE man! After the success of Peter Gunn soundtrack, Breakfast at Tiffany's plus hundreds of movies in the fifties, he was prolific in combining jazz in orchestral scoring for film and TV.
Ответить... and you ...
ОтветитьI want to know about.. what can i call the songs like this one. I mean about genre!!
ОтветитьBeautifully melancholic song that perfectly captures the essence of a relationship not meant to be ("towards a closing door, a door marked 'nevermore' that wasn't there before"). I hate it when jazzed-up renditions make it sultry and romantic in the wrong way.
ОтветитьLike fine wine, (no pun intended), this movie and Henry Mancini's classic song stand the test of time and age gracefully. Both Jack Lemmon and Lee Remick give stellar performances and director Blake Edwards remarkable direction make this a very poignant and effective drama. Hard to believe that the film will be 60 years old this year. ❤️🍾🍷🌹🌹
ОтветитьAs a "younger" film fan of only 56, the first thing that pops into my head on reading the plot summary is Leaving Las Vegas.
ОтветитьCliff Robertson and Piper Laurie played the married couple in the original Playhouse 90 teleplay.
ОтветитьBetter Call Saul
ОтветитьThis movie is one of my favorites. I remember watched this movie with Kim...
Ответить"The wicked flee when no man pursueth " 🖤
ОтветитьThis was our song..and always will be, Buddy.
ОтветитьMancini knew how to use the seldom heard chords which show his mastery of harmony for tension and beauty.
ОтветитьThis was Lee Remick's second film with Blake Edwards, who had directed her previously in "Experiment I n Terror." This was Jack Lemmon's first time with Edwards and would team with him again on "The Great Race" with Tony Curtis and Natalie Wood
ОтветитьThis is a true representation of the disease of alcoholism. In the Book entitled Alcoholics Anonymous page 33 bottom paragraph is written about the women alcoholic I've seen it 1st hand in men and women. The problem is most deny there is a problem or the alcohol makes them feel so euphoric they just don't care. Today's society is plagued more by drug abuse then alcoholism but many drug addicts come off drugs and don't believe alcohol will affect them so gravely then they drink and find themselves just as bad off if not worse and usually going back to the drugs. I don't have an answer other then suggesting the elevator is broken take The Steps. The 12 Steps of AA and incorporate them into your life on a daily basis and life may change if you believe alcohol is a problem . May God Bless you and keep you til then.
ОтветитьI wish I could write music like this.
ОтветитьMasterpiece 🎬❤️✨
ОтветитьGod...It gets me emotional ..Im old
Ответитьwhat everybody should see.
ОтветитьAnything Henry Mancini composes is gold. This and among my many favorites the love theme to The Thorn Birds.
ОтветитьAre these vocalists the same that Nat King Cole used on That Sunday, That summer?
ОтветитьMancini was a music genius
ОтветитьHow ironic, watching this film in 2021, that nearly all the characters smoke like a chimney, before attention was paid to THAT problem......
ОтветитьMy favorite version of this song. To me it has that 1960s sound that I love. I know the movie is very serious but this song is beautiful.
ОтветитьThis song reminds me of the haunting words of Lee Remick's character Kirsten saying about a dream she had, "They murdered me over there in the piling over there" .............
ОтветитьThe ending was especially poignant. . . leaving her husband & daughter. Alcohol can be a disaster for families.
ОтветитьBefore he made us laugh with the classic Pink Panther movies, he made us cry in Days of wine and roses and made an iconic Breakfast.
Blake Edwards, what a director!!!!
