Im in Australia and the lack of a full update is frustrating as we pay more than Americans for these phones

As a Pixel 7 Pro owners, I'm so mad.

Is this video about android 14 or the pixel 8.

Since the Pixel 8 Pro temperature sensor has received FDA approval and Google has sent out the updated software, I have been testing the temperature sensor against a medical grade infrared thermometer and I'm very impressed. I consistently get the same (or within .3 degree) readings from both devices. I would have no problem using this temperature sensor as a medical temperature sensor. The reason this feature requires a SIM card or ESIM is because there are some [legal jargon, legal jargon, legal jargon] medical HIPA laws that require it. Don't ask me, I'm no attorney.

Why pay extra for hardware that won't even work in my country. Rather use that money on something worth

as the features are only available in the US, pixel 8 pro scouters, you might be better off going with a 7 pro then, save a few hundred dollars and get all the same features as the 8 pro (region locking features is a trashy move Google, step up your game)

I wish that Google would create a secure folder and actual gallery like Samsung has. Those are the only 2 things that are keeping me from purchasing one.

I'm from Germany and been a pixel fan forever . But No longer . I find it beyond disrespectful that they don't bring features to Europe. If we don't get the full features than we should pay less . But to be honest I will sell my pixe 8 pro l and get the Samsung s24 ultra I am so fed up with Google

All the cool AI things are mostly exclusive for Pixel 8 Pro models in the US, its so disappointing. On the other hand, Apple is adding new features to old devices for years, that's why I'm switching to apple.

Fragmentation problem. Android does not offers: "Defragmentation" .
So all that fragmented up space is unusable and is included as system. That is why android storage space keeps getting more and more Used with time without any barrier or stoppage. And your phone dies at the end.
Huawei has released a new smarphone OS which is 3 times efficient than the linux kernal (written about 45 years ago). I can only hope it would be at least open source and Sweeten smartphone users' experience. Because Google never had better employees. They just hire the fresh college passouts. Reason for all our bad user storage experience on Android . You know how opposite is the Windows Operating system to android in terms of storage management.

Great video man. I'm a first time pixel user and bought it because of all the features it was advertising before release date. Was so excited and ready to ditch Samsung because of the new boxy design and disliking the eynos cpu,s. But very disappointed that most advertised features didn't come straight out of the box and had to wait for feature drops. On top of that some features are only available in the US which is disgusting that Google didn't mention before.also with AI and other features chewing up the onboard 16gb of RAM Google doesn't provide a RAM management app like Samsung to free up RAM, because by the end of the afternoon you will already have less then 3 GB of RAM left and while editing your photos often Google photos app will close down 😡

My Pixel 6 Pro got better weather app and somewhat confusing but nice Camera app. But at the same time it totally gimped my cellular reception - it went from very bad to "no signal". So yeah - I can take awesome pictures and check weather when connected to WiFi indoors. Sadly outside of my house (and workplace) my phone is now just paperweight. Also my navigation is now not working, period. It was mostly unusable before, since they changed color scheme streets were already not visible on the Android Auto screed in my car. But now without signal - total pita.

Phone makers throw 128gb and 256gb storage in the damn trash! Why bring out a new color at 128gb ?!?!

Why no one calls out Google for doing this crap? What's the point of developing in-house chip when they cannot support half of these features? And having most of these features region locked? Seriously?

If Google keeps restricting functions to the US et all. I will definitely be moving on to iPhone when next I change my phone because I still can't understand why after the pixel 8 they still feel they must restrict functions to the US.

There is only one reason I will leave pixel devices and it's because of the limitations that come with the brand outside the USA

As a Pixel 8 happy user because I like the form factor, the great display and the smooth/clean/stock OS I am asking myself and I would like to ask you... why a bunch of features and only US exclusive?
Does it make sense for you?
Why in Europe, for example, do we need to pay the same price for a smartphone that doesn't do what Google promises?
Why, I mean, the reasons, Google is doing this?
If in your "fake" marketing you talk about super AI tools, why only a country can have these?
I haven't bought the Pixel 8 for the AI, but for the reasons above and believe me, this kind of stuff makes me away from Google smartphones.
