I'm on my second Earth home build, I'm in South Carolina instead of New Mexico this time, and the humidity and the mosquitoes OMG no bueno and this fly problem reminds me of these mosquitoes here.

I have plans for indoor outdoor connected ponds for all the bugs, I plan on enjoying my outdoor space and I declare war on the bugs that annoys or is a problem...

im glad u gave a shout out to "Garbage Warrior" . most ppl don't seem to care about the fight against corruption. and or the search for solutions to the corruption. the real prob is, that the ppl who fight that kind of system are individuals wh struggle with trusting ppl. so uniting to beat it seems impossible.

im of grid without money. its been almost 4 years now. my advice to ne1 doing an off grid journey is ... have money first and plan, plan then plan again. its not an easy life and it takes time. character building, for certain. but also make sure u have lots of redundancies. i live in the bc mountains far from local hardware stores. so running out of materials or missing tools becomes a long journey. i don't have neighbors to rely on for help (alone) , so something as that's a simple as with 2 ppl becomes an all day venture with more risk.
too bad that ppl don't stand up against am unlawful corrupt governance, that takes a false authority over us the ppl, the true governments. asking for permits says that we need there permission but we pay there wages. we are there boss. so, educate, unite and support ur neighbor.

Earthship should be built with natural materials, here everything is built with Metal, tin; even walls, with cement and concrete. which can be built with earth for cheap and 1/10 of this cost. This is expensive Earthship and not natural.

I have a house in Perth, Western Australia, built using conventional building materials (brick and tile) which requires no mechanical heating or cooling. It's all about getting the design details right. I can only imagine that all that sun-exposed glass is going to let an enormous amount of summer heat into the building. However, I guess it could always be protected with some shade cloth if needed.

Maybe you could do an update on this home to see how the progress is coming along.

Any possibility of linking to your drawings? Mainly would like to see sizes of planters and how the systems for recycling work.
This is an outstanding build, one I would want to do as a builder that is not so unorthodox looking.

To stop the fly's a good idea is to cook hot chilly in olive oil, let it cool off, after rub it on the skin away from the ayes.
