Fastest way to clean dirty diesel injectors

I would do this with a cheap set of ebay 8.3 12v injectors that i been running waste oil on, but would never clean my oem cummins injectors this way even if they coked up...could u imagine doing thus to say a isx or dd or another $2500 injector.

Don't do this stupid run some two stroke half a litre to half a tank of diesel, this works but you could hit the injectors with a hammer while engine is running few gentle taps, joke, but two stroke works

try dipping them in simple green will not harm the metal and will dissolve the soot build up after a leaving them to soak and press it up against a clean rag and twist

I used diesel injector cleaner right on the feed line with a lil filter looped back into a jar it worked great lots of gunk came out checked vcds they were working normal then. Can’t remember the brand started with a M

Gee, why don't you use a file to remove the crud, then 20 grit sandpaper to make it look shiny.... Then hit it with a hammer to remove any bends....

Nozzle in plastic jar filled with petrol. Let it flow on water in ultrasonic bath, best cleaner.

While your at it, douse your car in petrol and push it off a cliff, preferably one with lots of jagged rocks at the bottom. This will increase performance and actually enhance the repair job you just did on your injectors. Seriously give it a shot.

Better idea.. Just fill your fuel tank with soapy water and run the car on that for a day.. The soapy water will wash everything nice and clean and you wont even have to remove the injectors. . For extra dirty, use laundry detergent.. It makes the whites extra white. (wont work on black cars) .

Hi Anderson, thanx for your informative video on cleaning the injector tip. A quick question, would this clogged injector stop diesel from spraying in the chamber. What would the symptoms be?

Never brush a diesel injector nozzle or scrape it like that.....

Just use a ultrasonic bath

And now its rubbish . You can’t use wire brush or any metal only ultrasonic cleaner.

Should clean with a brass
metal you might as well throw them out I would use a ultra sonic cleaner

I’m as hack full as it gets but I’ll never take a wire brush to an injector nozzle. Upwards of $1300 just for the nozzle, the spray pattern makes a big difference to how a common rail operates. I’ve found the cheapest way is to soak them in ‘Mercury power-tune’ which softens the carbon quickly. Use a tooth brush next time.

No no nooooo, use a credit card and a brass brush you will ruin the holes, soak it in a oven cleaner before you scrape away.

This destroys your nozzle it makes micro scratches that make your spray pattern uneven with the risk of burning your pistons the best way is a cheap ultra sound cleaner
