I make my own toothpaste with peppermint oil, baking soda, and coconut oil. Natural and works for my family. Also use coconut oil as a mouthwash

So i tried the baking soda and ginger for the first time. Woosh! My gums where on fire. But i got a good difference after the scrubs. My yellow teeth came out milky. Hopefully i would get the white teeth if i continue for weeks.

You wouldn't recommend it because then no one would go to the dentist and pay extortionate prices. I had an elderly neighbour before I moved house and he had his own teeth and they were pristine. He told me since he was a kid he brushed with baking soda due to rations from the war and he juat continued it throughout his whole life

brushing your teeth even with just water and flossing is the best anticavity prevention there is, you don't need the fancy pastes, but baking soda is the ticket, my grandfather used it for 60 years and died at the age of 76 with his original teeth intact.

You don't NEED toothpaste. You can clean your teeth without it. Toothpaste is just something humans invented. How did we get here without it??

Baking soda has always been an ingredient in toothpaste and tooth cleaning for decades, l tried just a small amount with my regular toothpaste and it does work inasmuch as it makes staining less so they look lighter 😊 all the whitening toothpastes do not work just another money making scheme😮 it's not natural to have gleaming white teeth either??? Its just another trend??

No one is talking about replacing Baking Soda with toothpaste. Use regular toothpaste like always and brush your teeth twice a week with baking soda. Problem solved.

I’ve occasionally used BS and peroxide for about 7 years now and it works so incredibly well for keeping these chompers white.

My halitosis is gone after using baking soda to brush.

Toothpaste is literally sand. Baking soda is softer and it's really good at getting rid of plaque. If you want fluoride use alcohol free mouthwash.

I had used baking soda to brush my teeth. But not just baking soda. I used toothpast and a pinch of baking soda on top of it. Then I brushed and yes it removed stains. But don't know about whitening.

Fluoride is a deadly toxin, just read the label on your toothpaste for the warning. But maybe, you will die with strong teeth?

Is there such thing as brushing too often? I’d imagine not really unless you brushed 5+ times a day or irritated your gums a lot. But I have always struggled with weak enamel and yellowish teeth (doesn’t help that I drink black coffee but been substituting for lighter shade teas). Where does the brush 2x a day come from? And how would you compare brushing 2x a day to say after every meal?

But don’t toothpastes that may have baking soda in have soooo many other ingredients that can be harmful - parabens, SLS, propylene glycol? For me as an example I am making the super simple change in avoiding any processed foods or foods with many ingredients and same goes for my cleaning products and make up ect… if it has potential harmless ingredients or chemicals I will avoid ….I’ll check but what are your thoughts on coconut oil pulling, again a natural way to not only pull bacteria from your teeth but also whitens your teeth?
