That Rodrigo was a scammer

I’m Filipino and I get so nervous whenever I go visit the Philippines. I’ve heard many stories of others getting scammed with “tourist prices”

I think Rodrigo did not meant to give you the wrong computation for the ride because he knows you are educated and can compute the exact payment....I presume he's testing you if you agree with it and boom...jackpot... Thank you for correcting him. Instilling someone the essence of honesty is the best way to attract costumers but with Rodrigo who is not well educated means that he needs maybe a little orientation on dealing with costumer service...

People please be honest with the tourist, dont overcharge them and most especially dont ask for a tip..
Foreigners will give you tip and pay you more as long as you are honest with them..
It is so disappointing that there are people taking advantage of the tourist..

New subsciber here. Nahihiya ako sa ginawa ni Rodrigo, napaka bait ni Mac at mapagbigay siya, sana naman hindi inabuso porke dayuhan lang dito sa bansa natin. Nakakasira ng imahe ng Pilipinas ang mga taong mapang abuso lalo na sa mga dayuhan. Napakabait ni Mac, masayang kasama at mapagbigay, naawa ako sa ginawang pananamantala sa kaniya ng ilang mga kapwa ko pinoy. wag naman ganyan. Wag maging abusado at gahaman. Nakakahiya may slogan pa naman tayong "it's more fun in the Philippines" pero ang nagyari "it's more abusive, dishonest and oppotunists people in the Phillipines". Nakakahiya! Tsk!

There are trained/accredited tour guides inside intramuros who know the history of the place and speak pretty good english. They wont rip you off. Kinda disappointed with rodrigo. Hopefully he’ll have learned from this and be straight with his next customers.

Oh dang, what a disappointment when Rodrigo tried to charged you for more at the end of the trip. He seemed like a good man during the tour. Oh well, I hope he learned his lesson. There are still a lot of honest people. Unfortunately, desperate times make them dishonest.

A lot of times, when Filipinos cannot understand what you're saying, they just nod and say Yes. So, I am sorry if at times, Rodrigo has misunderstood and just say yes. I can truly say, I have been there before, I would just nod and kept saying yes, and most of the times, it's due to being embarrassed.

I hope you can visit Cebu Island one day. It is my hometown and I believe it is more beautiful than Manila. Cebu City of Cebu Province was the former Capital of Philippines. The Colon Street which is the oldest street in the Philippines is located in Cebu.

I like Rodrigo. I think he is the typical/ideal type of a Filipino guy. I know because I am Filipina.

He still charged you with 350, not 250 per 30 minutes. 350*6=2100 and discounted the total price with 100, so 2000. ❤

He should have said the fair price. I am sure he is going to give him a tip anyway. If not, Rodrigo still wins because Mac is generous enough to feed him on his tour of duty. In the end, he appeared as a great pretender. I feel sorry for him to be in this video. Most foreigners who watched this will avoid him.

I knew this was going to happen because it happened to me many many years ago, and the guy went to jail for 10 years for blackmailing a tourist. it’s against the law in the Philippines to blackmail tourists. They start small then they make it big! They’re tricky! And then they use emotion black mail!
