Marty McFly‘s place looks a bit like the one out of ghost whisperer
ОтветитьYes mate, that strange line is called a rain gutter. :)
ОтветитьAwesome work you done to visit the locations. Thank you! =) <3 Cheers
ОтветитьMy ocd thanks you for your attention to detail. Amazing job!
ОтветитьI think your filming location for the entrance to Lyon estates was spot on. It would have been on the east side of the street. The dusty road was actually just a lane used while maintaining the crops so it was seasonal. You can see they laid down bricks temporarily to transition the road to dirt to give it a used driveway appearance. As a kid I watched them film the storm scene in front of the Lyon estates dusty road for II and III. I was thrilled despite only having the stunt doubles on set that day :). Fun video!!
ОтветитьSome of my favorite channels on YT are old shooting location from 100 years ago. Buster Keaton, The Little Rascals, Laurel and Hardy.
Now you’re doing the same bot 40-50 years ago.
The Aldi you see in the US are Aldi Nord stores. Aldi Süd can be found in the US…as Trader Joe’s.
The house with the trellis on the right to park a car is called a “car port” in English. They existed in older houses before garages became standard.
JCPenney was a large department store like Sears was, not a grocery store.
Brilliant.
ОтветитьSo was it actually Lorraine George was spying on then?
ОтветитьTHANKS BRO
ОтветитьYou really need to learn english and the prope ruse of the words. Yo uhave a tendecy to over identify things and to over describe things that is not neccessary or even true. Just keep your language simple, that is how english works. German has words that mean multiple words in english, but they dont translate correctly because we dont describe things in that way. Just keep it simple. Tank you for the video either way.
ОтветитьSo cool, the strange line. As you say is a stain from the rainwater running down through the water drain pathway.??
ОтветитьI think the original Hill Valley set burned down.
ОтветитьIt's a 38 years difference. Will have significant change
ОтветитьKeeping my kids away from this guy.
ОтветитьThe road for Lyon Estates is now marked on Google Maps as a historical landmark. 😄
Ответитьdid u do some more for back the future part 2 and part 3
Ответитьoh! i didn't know that aldi was a german store-- ..-that's super cool ! i can not believe i didn't realize this XD
ОтветитьMy girlfriend, now wife, and I were shopping at the Puente Hills mall one night. When we left we noticed there was a movie set there in the parking lot we passed on our way to get on Colima road. Later we went to watch Back to the Future and realized that that was the movie being filmed. Oh, where did we watch the movie? In the theater that's in the background in that parking lot. That was one weird thing to be sitting there and knowing that scene was just outside the movie theater. Thanks for the video.
ОтветитьGood job! I live not far from Gamble House, so I always take visitors from out of town to see it. Most recognize it from the movie right away.
ОтветитьGeorge McFly wasn't spying into Lorraine's house. It was another house across the road.
ОтветитьThat Puente Hills mall is dead besides the arcade, Krispy Kreme and restaurants
ОтветитьDonald Trump ( Biff 2015 ) 🤔
ОтветитьHes cute
ОтветитьGreat video mate takes me back love back to the future great film 🎥 , thanks for bringing us the locations , stay safe brother love mr b Robin hood county uk 🇬🇧 👍
ОтветитьI think that they tore down Burger King and rebuilt it to make it more modernized.
ОтветитьJust a heads up.... this is America. 40 degrees is cold (just 8 degrees above freezing). So, it wasn't 40 degrees, it was 104 degrees. Now that's hot. 😊
ОтветитьFantastisch! Sehr gut gemacht! Gratuliere 👏👏👏👏
ОтветитьI can’t get enough of old photos/locations then vs. now. You did such an incredibly meticulous job of tracking everything down and getting the angles just right. Awesome!
ОтветитьActually, you might be shocked to hear that Aldi is a very popular store here in the U.S.
ОтветитьI'd subscribe for this guys accent alone
ОтветитьFor the BK, the Toys R Us was where Aldi and Home Goods is. Behind the BK was a hardware store. I want to say Builder's Emporium but by the sign it looks like it was Ole's Home Centers before becoming BE.
Ответить"Has been here 37 years ago" hurts my OCD! But fascinating video!
Ответить40 degrees in southern California is usually quite chilly. I don't know why you're complaining about being hot!
(BTW that is a joke, i know he's really talking in Celsius.)
I graduated from Whittier High in 1992. I wasn't there for the filming of Back to the Future, but was a freshman when they filmed 2 and 3 there. All the old cars and such was cool to see. It's neat to rewatch the movies and see them standing in front of where my locker was!!
ОтветитьFor old people who lived 1000 years ago, things were basically the same as when they were born. The rate of change is so much higher today.
ОтветитьThis is depressing. To see the difference in vegetation between then and now. We are living in a dystopian future.
ОтветитьWhy you sound like a cartoon?
ОтветитьWho would have thunk a cellular phone will have a video recorder with 2160 vertical lines.
ОтветитьVery interesting and well made video. I love this movie so much 😊
ОтветитьDays when Hollywood was Hollywood
ОтветитьHow do you pronounce your First name?
I'm thinking of changing my first name to Mathies.
Congratulations on making this complete, accurate and simply perfect video.
Thank you for making me live my young days again.
