I loved The Northmen. It feels like a classic Scandinavian tale. It’s as historically accurate as possible without sacrificing the pacing or “fun” of the movie. What inaccuracies are there, I feel are necessary to like…make the audience feel like it’s Viking. I’m ashamed that it didn’t get the recognition it deserved

nicole kidman ooohhh plastic surgery....not good.....just plain creepy. every scene she was in made me look away

Another yearly example that the Oscars are just a pageant show that doesn't mean anything since this movie was not even nominated for best picture but Top Gun... sure

Alexander did so well that i was able to see him as amleth without seeing him as colbert,before anytime he was on screen I was just seeing iceman. But in this,he is just amleth

"The Northman Director"??? WTH Vanity Fair

I'm only halfway through, and this is just wonderful. This is what we want to see in film. Thanks to the director for making it so historically accurate, and thanks to Alex for doing a wonderful job in his dedicated involvement in the film. We history buffs definitely see all this stuff, and we love it.

This is an extremely overlooked movie. I think that this is the best film I've seen in the last 3 years at least. Aster and Aronofsky and Cuaron are close competition. As Scorsese and Coppola fade, and Kubrick long gone, it's so great to see these younger directors picking up the high art of film.

I feel blessed to have watched this in the theater. All the actors were amazing. Everyone involved in this film did a phenomenal job!

I mean, these guys are pretty muscular. But, they are very lean compared to other built people.

I want a Robert eggars scifi horror movie. Or something horror he does so well at them, Northman I know is t a horror movie and it’s my favorite by him. Guy is just an awesome director

Scenography, costumes, all the shots and music are amazing. Unfortunately the story and overall writing is wack.

Norse women did NOT fight (norsewomen couldn’t go to valhalla because they didn’t die fighting and they didn’t die fighting because they didn’t fight). That grave doesn’t mean anything, the people of the time probably just buried her with armour for cerimonial reasons. There was no reason to put that character in the movie (it is a big inaccuracy). Other than that, overall, the rest of the movie is accurate (though there are unfortunately some other annoying inaccuracies). This movie is still, for the most part, the most accurate movie/series depicting the vikings (way better than the trash that is “Vikings” or “The Last Kingdom”).
