Hi! how does the order of midi pedals could affect the signal chain with analog pedals or with themselves?
ОтветитьThank you!
Ответитьneed buffer off/on options on inputs. ruins the fuzzes
ОтветитьCan 2 midi devices work on the same ch.
Ответитьhi i havethe valeton gp200 and a tc electronic x3 and want the gp to turn on board .any ideas?
Ответитьokay now do an even absoluter beginner's guide
ОтветитьI want to say you should have mentioned Bank Change (CC 00 and 32) in your explanation, but that would have made it much longer and more confusing. I know how to use MSB and LSB, but my head still hurts when I do. 🙂
ОтветитьWow, I had no idea you could do this. I'm a beatmaker, I use an MPC 2000 which is quite limited with its effects board so I was looking at using the 8 outs to route different samples through FX pedals, and now I've just been presented with a method to control these pedals using the MPC's MIDI sequencer. Brilliant brilliant brilliant!
ОтветитьIf you have two devices with USB class compliant ports, will they be able to talk to each other midi via USB without computer, directly device to device? Or that is not possible with USB class compliant.
ОтветитьThe issue is that you can't change the analog pedal setting via midi, so your OD is set for the entire show unless you manual change it.
Ответитьwhere has this video been all of my life
so handy :D
Hi,
Is there any pedal that we can play and change the chords when we solo or improvise?
Also, is there a way we can program the MIDI food switch to play chords for the Yamaha arranger like PSR?
Thanks!
This guy put an AWESOME video that I a laymen understand. Now I am looking at the Morningstar :-)
ОтветитьYou have just taught me how to set up MIDI, which I have never understood before since MIDI began! Thank you! I can now control my Boss Nextone Special Amp from my Line 6 M13. Brilliant! 😊
ОтветитьThis is incredibly helpful for me as a MIDI beginner!
ОтветитьIt is true that a MIDI-controlled pedalboard gives you infinite possibilities, considering the number of (MIDI-enabled) pedals you can drop on to the board.
But one must also consider:
* assiging a distinct MIDI channel each pedal
* Remembering the Program Change numbers you assign to each setting within each pedal, which is no small task, especially on pedals with no display of any kind.
* And last but by no means least, the number of patch cables exponentially raises the prospect of a cable failure "somewhere" on your board, and at a gig that could be a catastrophe.
Don't get me wrong, I actually dig MIDI and if I could afford an all Strymon board, I might be tempted to build it.
I'm just pointing these things out because there are tradeoffs with everything, including this.
This video is so helpful!!!
ОтветитьForgive me for asking, but when I just want to use one effect at a time like a reverb for example, do I have to tell other pedals in the midi chain to be off? I’ll have my overdrives in the ML5 so I’m unsure whether to make each switch a preset on the MC8 or send a CC message for each loop. I want to have one bank where I have each overdrive accessible like a traditional loop switcher. Then I want to be able toggle in the reverb for each overdrive. For some reason the toggle settings keep getting reversed so the blinking one just has my overdrive on there. Lol I still have a lot to learn!
Ответитьwow that MIDI Dictionary is cool! thank you loads!
ОтветитьHow does midi works using a TRS?
