Hello classmates of 2023
ОтветитьPaul’s main group he preached to was the crowd of outsiders who wanted to learn about the Torah without living it out, known as “God Fearers”.
Paul taught, by the messiah being a sacrifice, that the Torah was completed and no longer required.
The “God Fearers” loved it, but the Apostles made him repent for it, for this is not what Jesus taught.
In the end, the Pauline theology prevailed by spreading like a wildfire amongst the Gentiles.
This has GOT to be my favorite book so far
ОтветитьBaptism is not a command yet Christians require it. Baptism becomes only a Christian ritual if we do not do it in the spirit and continue to live in the spirit and stay away from sin, which is lawlessness. Someone can circumcise with a conviction and commitment and as a covenant to live in the spirit and it would be more authentic than getting baptized and continue disregarding God’s law which is love…. All of it including circumcision, which is a physical declaration of holiness and dedication to God if done in faith and belief that he has paid the price for our sins.
‘
If you put the focus on not keeping Moses’s law, I think we miss the whole point. Rather if we live in the spirit we will automatically keep his commands.
ОтветитьThis is not saying to not circumcise it is about not doing it to be saved by own ritualistic efforts.
ОтветитьThis is not what I get after listening to the book many times. It is not about circumcision or not. It is about living in the spirit and salvation by faith and not work. The commandments are still valid but not there for salvation.
ОтветитьSo beautiful.
ОтветитьSo good! So much detail - a clear explanation of the gospel and Holy Spirit’s power WOW
Ответить.
Ответитьthank you
ОтветитьThis great my son and I are going through this tonight. He and I read it and will discuss it.
ОтветитьI prayed to God to free me from the self-glorifying temptation of Torah Observation/Hebrew Roots, and reading this shortly after having been blessed with strength against these tradition-aggrandizing movements feels cathartic, to say the least.
Ответить"... come on the Gentiles through Jesus Christ..." -Galatians 3:14
Ответитьi love how this team summarized the whole book of the bible 1 by 1. im so happy God utilizes this channel to spread His Word. may God Bless you all.
ОтветитьThanks for the video...except...I don't understand why you continue to use Old Testament words in place of New Testament words? Messiah, for Christ, torah for law. This only continues the separation of the Jewish believers from Gentile believers. Hebrew is not a holy language, just as Greek isn't. Why choose the Hebrew words and not the Greek? I see a tendency in your teaching to favor the Messianic Christian model of the church rather than the freedom from the Jewish culture in this age. Such words and emphasis divides the church, it does not bring unity.
ОтветитьHow do you receive the Spirit?
ОтветитьHow do you know when you have received God’s Spirit?
ОтветитьI love Jesus please bless and forgive this world Amen
ОтветитьMulti-ethnic family of the Messiah 🙏🏻
ОтветитьLovely explanations
ОтветитьThank you @bibleproject!! This video is helping me prepare for my college New Testament class😄
ОтветитьAmazing- I struggled to understand everything in the book of Galatians, and once again, Bible Project has cleared up many of my uncertancies. ❤
ОтветитьMaybe just focus on facts from historical sources and not your own interpretation
ОтветитьThank God for this video
ОтветитьI love this man beautifully illustrated God is so good. Thank you Jesus❤️
ОтветитьWhy is this video so blurry now on my new phone? 😢
ОтветитьThis is awesome!! Thank you!!!

ОтветитьThe spirit of God dwells in Bible Project
ОтветитьWhy Didnt Moses enter the promise land… it wasnt his purpose…Moses represents the LAW… the law guides people To the Savior but the Law or works will not get you into HEAVEN… joshua representing Jesus/ Yeshua is what will get you in to the promise land
ОтветитьIt’s sad that so many criticize Christianity, yet Jesus’ came to make the world a better place through faith and love. This video illustrates this point very well.
ОтветитьCrazy!!
This explanation is not in continuity with the entire teaching of scripture. And Paul WOULD NOT teach against Abraham's own example of circumcision JUST LIKE the Messiah's EXAMPLE!!
How can YOU teach against the MESSIAH'S Example??
Thank you, brothers.
ОтветитьHow can you say "we're dead to the law, we don't have to keep these old Jewish laws," yet at the same time say "well you still have to keep rules against adultery or you won't inherit the kingdom of God"
ОтветитьThanks.
Ответитьteam circumcision against my choice… hell yeah
ОтветитьThanks so much!
ОтветитьAfter reading Galatians, I visited here to find your perspective on the book, which differs from mine. Concerning the Ten Commandments, Paul wasn't instructing the Galatians to disregard them. Instead, he emphasized the concept of serving one another through love, stating that the entire law is fulfilled in the commandment to "love your neighbor as yourself" (Galatians 5:13-14). This notion parallels Jesus' words in Mark 12:31. As you mentioned in your video, Paul offered a summary of the law, and when we summarize, it doesn't mean the omitted parts lack importance. It's a condensation. Paul's argument centered around circumcision, not the Ten Commandments (including keeping the Sabbath). His closing statements in Galatians 6:15-16 confirm this: "Circumcision and uncircumcision mean nothing; what matters is the new creation. Peace and mercy to all who follow this rule—to the Israel of God." In essence, he concluded that being a new creation in Jesus Christ is what truly counts, irrespective of circumcision status.
