Ha ha ! Arnold didn't 'cheat' anybody - - - Mentzer finished 5th , so even without Arnold he would have been 4th. Moreover, nobody can even agree on who should have won, so that's more proof there was no clear-cut winner here.

He cheated in a lot of things in his life...

Apparently Arnold took steroids and Arnold hates Mike because Mike defeated Arnold in 1969, and Arnold has a grudge against Mike and has not forgotten him. Mike did not participate in Mr. Olympia until after Arnold retired from participating in the tournament, and when Arnold learned that Mike had won the title three times after his retirement, Arnold was afraid that Mike would break his record for the number of victories. Arnold participated in the 1980 tournament and agreed with Joe Weider to defeat Mike, and Arnold responded to his defeat from Mike in 1969.

This is thw thing with bodybuilding, you're at the mercy of the judges

Just from the thumbnail photo, compared to Arnold, Mentzer had a borderline bubble gut, flatter chest, smaller biceps. Sorry but in no universe was Mentzer way ahead of Arnold.

If Arnold had not said goodbye to body building contests for 5 years, he could have probably won between 1976 and 1980 and we would be poorer with lots of great action and sci-fi movies. That's the truth.

It was a Weider show and the ultimate Weider guy won. That's the way it was back then. And Mike was amazing. One of my favorites.

1. Height.
2. Mass
3. Classification and separation.

The competition was whoever the best on that night vs each other, win the competition. If Arnold didn't look better shape than he was before but better shape than anyone else he competed on that night, then he was a clear winner. It's not the competition of him vs himself 4 years ago. The judges made all decision & the decision was Arnald the winner. The conspiracy should stop now & let the history stamped forever. This is the only case of sore loser vs rightfully winner.
