Thanks for watching, everyone! Suggestions for the next game to play are welcome!
ОтветитьBruh they literally just took random Synty character assets and threw them next to other styled assets. (Also the performance was probably affected by playing in browser)
ОтветитьMost of this crap would be bad even by Flash game standards 20 years ago.
ОтветитьI mean, considering it's a browser game that's likely downloading everything as you go and dealing with the constraints of a browsers cache this game is pretty fucking good
ОтветитьThis game is fascinating in how bad it is in EVERY way.
ОтветитьAnything being "decentralized" as a concept is so funny to me. The whole thing just screams "we have no good ideas, you come up with something, good luck"
ОтветитьI'm a simple man, I hear a dark souls compliment I dislike the video
ОтветитьThere are two obvious metrics one could use to define a company's success: Does it provide a valuable good/service to people that improves the human condition; 2) gibe money.
It would be great if any of these projects cared about the first definition at all.
Ethermon
ОтветитьRule of thumb
If the game has no demo
No executable
Demands money upfront
Its a scam
Most of these NFT games remind me of RuneScape. A completely dead game with the vast majority of active "players" only playing as a way to make money.
ОтветитьJauwn reminds me of john bois for some reason
ОтветитьGolfcraft is just Golf with Your Friends but worse
ОтветитьDon't be like Kyle my guy you always read that lol. You don't want apple kicking your door down and making a centipede out of you.
ОтветитьAs someone who was involved from the earliest days of Decentraland - it started from a very good point (it had a very community-focused approach and worked to create a World more than just a game in its districts. Though I’m not involved these days, they HAVE been putting in work to make the platform work and run better - and a LOT of the community may not be visible at a glance due to being active most often during the specified events, or via interaction in their discord servers. I think part of where it went wrong was losing a focus on the player, guest, and newcomer side of things. Things like the tutorial, new user experience, and helping people figure out HOW to be involved in the world more, were lost in the wayside (relying more on the goodwill of its userbase to instruct people how to get involved and ‘play’ in the world, or otherwise work within it, which doesn’t work when said people are not easily findable for someone just hopping in for the first time unless that person is incredibly lucky to run into someone who wants to take the time to help. It’s really a bit like Second Life in that matter, without the drive that has to make itself more approachable
Say mewzam one more time MF.
ОтветитьIm sure that many people in the prison labor simulator game is them using bots and just playing something else on a console or in another tab
ОтветитьThe voting system should be one vote per user because right now what you have is whoever has spent the most gets to make all the decisions.
Ответить>decentraland
>look inside
>centralized
🤔
i don't know why you didn't just mute the tab if the audio was so soul-drainingly terrible. I'm only hearing it second-hand and still feel like my ears are begging for the sweet release of death lmao.
Ответитьlove how this went from "fully decentralized and community-run" to "oligarchy" within the span of a single sentence.
Ответитьthis is like those fake games you see on TV shows like CSI and the like
ОтветитьHow did you make roblox except worse in every conceivable way
ОтветитьSouth Korea Simulator forced labor camp module.
ОтветитьGoogle or FB single sign-on is horrible. Not only do they provide it for the sole purpose of tracking you to sell your data to advertisers, they have terrible customer support and no incentive to change that. (Remember, if the product is free, you are the product.) They hold your identity hostage with no regard for you. Proving your identity without relying on an authority that will either be big and corrupt or small and unreliable is actually one of very beneficial uses of asymmetric encryption, including crypto wallets which are basically public/private keys in a standard format and easier to use for laymen.
Sure, the problem with being solely responsible for keeping your keys safe is, well, being solely responsible for keeping your keys safe. Thankfully, there are services for people who prefer to trust them over themselves called custodial wallets. This means that a service using a key/wallet based sign-on supports both the people who want to have total control over their identity for the cost of responsibility and the people who are willing to cede some of that control and trust another authority to not have more responsibility than with any other managed account. Everybody wins, with both approaches being much better than relying on FB or Google.
I don’t get it. These projects are junk piled on junk piled on junk. Who is investing in this trash?
Ответитьits always "buy land in our game"
ОтветитьAny time a game is labeled "Play to Earn", I mentally change it to "Play to Earn Kromer", because you don't play to earn actual spendable money; you play to earn kromer / bobux / some other bullshit Monopoly money that you have to swindle someone else into buying off of you. Yeahhhhhh... good luck with that...
ОтветитьThis just makes me want to say active worlds
ОтветитьMaybe these games could use a traditional log on system (id/password) and use the wallet as like a 2FA but then again then you'd have players that just don't link a wallet then :/ idk just an idea
ОтветитьBlockchain technology is maliciously designed to make it really easy for bad guys to steal your account and then to provide an absolutely unassailable mathematical guarantee using cryptography that you will never ever be able to get your account back.
ОтветитьI have worked as a teacher within Decentraland. Weird experience
ОтветитьI happen to know this and want to put it out in fairness: In the Silly Moustache Name proposal, it wasn't rejected because people didn't want it on the names list, it was rejected because it was already there. I guess the guy making the proposal missed it, but either way I find it perfectly reasonable not to add it to the list twice, especially since that won't make it "more banned" or something.
ОтветитьYou're totally missed the point of Decentraland. The fun of Decentraland is building your own 3d world and having out there for others to check out. The only game that comes close to being similar is maybe minecraft. To my knowledge there's never been another website made like this where there's a 3d world you can claim your spot on the map, make something and put it on that spot for all to see. When you walk around there you see what other people made not a 3d game studio with thousands of child laborers in India. Comparing it to diablo 3 or something running on it's own consul makes no sense.
ОтветитьIt's sad he didn't go to 104,52 where you can hunt zombies, so fun, free rewards. The review would be 10 out of 10 then.
ОтветитьSince this video, the floor price for wearables has gone from $250 to $5 lol
ОтветитьPLease do Earth 2 video
Ответитьthe dragon just nopeing out through the wall got me giggling :D
Ответитьit screws with your FPS because it's probably mining bitcoins in the background :DD
ОтветитьMan when I first saw what the Metaverse was I joked that it was just a shittier second life without furries, and the more I see of the game the more that rings true. So many of the issues with the game are also present in Second Life, a game that came out in -2003- and, apparently, can somehow run better than Decentraland even when you've got a dozen people with the most unoptimized, absurdly high poly count avatars you've ever seen. The way plots are given out, how they can be blocked off, even people's attempts to create actual games using a horribly ill-fitting engine and having to brute force a bunch of stuff with the base engine's barebones features. I've seen every single one of those games, down to the grind-and-earn mechanics, done way way better in Second Life, too.
Ответитьdamn it’s crazy seeing your first few videos only having a couple dozen views during this time period. glad youve been able to find success with this series
ОтветитьA theory can't be wrong in practice, otherwise it's not a theory or you want to use an irrelevant theory for the practice. And which theory and part of it are you talking about? Like it or not, gravitation is a theory too and nothing more in science. If you can't put in practice the parts of the theory such as the formulas, laws, the force etc., it's not the theory's fault.
ОтветитьA game by cryptobros that allows names to include H*tler and racial slurs? I'm shocked! It's almost like the venn diagram of the worst people who ever existed (white supremacists for example) and people who like cryptocurrency is a perfect circle!
ОтветитьThey couldn't even come together to ban hitler. Wow.
ОтветитьAny game attached to crypto/NFT, isn't a game... they're all scams.
In these series you are never going to find a game lol
Great video tho
