The conjured snake that Snape probably taught Draco to cast.....then he ends the magic....wasn't quite a "saving Harry" moment.

Snape's Potions Textbook granted Harry LIQUID LUCK...and that saves Harry (by giving Dumbledore the info about horcruxes) AND his friends.
Of course, leaving a killing spell in an old text book....probably not a wise move....SOMEone was bound to try it.

Yea, Snape wasn't perfect. He was very flawed. I mean sure he may have not liked Harry in the beginning (as he hated James and saw James' personality in Harry - why would you want to be reminded of your bully?). He may have been a bit too strict on Harry (I too had a teacher in my private school that targeted me because I was the new and somewhat rebellious kid). And his motivations are for someone he loved, which I admit is a bit creepy and simpy, but still, he risked his life by playing a dangerous game. The fact that Harry even honored him by having is named Albus Severus goes to show the respect he has for him. I consider Snape to be kind of like an ant-hero of sorts. I do think if Lily had lived, Snape might not have been so strict on him (but still strict), and would definitely try and steer him in a better direction.

I like the end, with Harry's son being named Albus Severus. Having read Severus' memories, Harry knew truly knew what he owed him.

He still was an awful teacher and person. In my eyes he only saved Harry out of shame because he was partly responsible for the death of his parents. And he never felt regret for James, only for his love interest Lilly

Voldemort Was Never as powerful as he seemed, and Snape knew it. Why, His biggest threat, was what he didn't know. ...He was Scary Dangerous, but not really powerful. People who hate, can't think things thru logically, And in Voldemort's case, he had no regard for life of wizards/muggles who cared for him and hated him. TO him, no difference. So, Lilly's love, ricochets Voldermort's curse. That was her intention, but not that of Voldermorts'. He was not use to Love so knew nothing of Blood magic. Nevertheless, unbeknownst to him, Voldemort own power protected and later connected him to Harry. Im pretty sure Lilly & Young Harry's Blood splashed on Voldemort.
SNAPE is the Reason for the Dark Lord's Downfall. Why? Voldemort had no idea that Harry was seeing his thoughts in his dreams. He had no idea Snape was in love with Lilly. Voldemort was secretly afraid of SNAPE because he could never tell what was going on with SNAPE. Why else did he not know, SNAPE hated him and actually cared a great deal for Lilly's child, that should have been his. HE cried when he found her dead, and he protected Harry until Haggrid got there to take him to the Dursleys. Also, that's why Haggrid knew SNAPE was never a threat in Socceror's Stone. SNAPE's revenge came full circle when he gave his tears to Harry. It changed everything about him, which is why Harry gave his child Snape's name. The most successful Wizard in Deathly Hallows was Snape, Besides when Snape cornered Professor Quingley/Voldemort and was trying to save Harry when his broom was bewitched. Voldemort should have figured out where Snape's loyalties lied right then and there. Right? Okay, I am a writer, and I have been a fan since I read the first book. JK Rowlings is a genius in her imaginations of her characters. So as a writer, we get in our characters head, not the other way around. So when you get in the head of SNAPE, you Know VOLDEMORT murdered Lilly. THAT IS NUMBER ONE. Lilly was always kind and friend-perfect to Snape. She accepted him for who he was. She was the LOVE of his LIFE. Voldemort hated half bloods (including himself), Where SNAPE believed 100% in his abilities and embraced his human side, and therefore knew compassion. ...Let face it, James Potter saw Snape as a threat that could come between him and Lilly. That is why he bullied Snape. Lilly loved Snape as a trusted friend, first and foremost. Dumbledore could see the future, and could read other people's individuality. He knew what drove SNAPE, and he knew in his absence, Snape would protect Harry with his life. SNAPE saw himself as Harry's absent father. That is why he wanted to point out what a horrible bully Harry's father was. In the end, it made sense to Harry, that despite his father, James... Snape still adored Lilly. Therefore as a tribute to her...He protected Lilly's Child, as she did when she gave her life. So in the End, he finished what Lilly started. The Boy Lived because SNAPE lived his life and then gave it, to protect Lilly's Child. And most all, in the end, he helped Harry Defeat who he hated most of all, Lilly's Killer: Voldemort.

Snape also saved Harry in the third chapter, when skipped part of the teaching program to give the students notions about Werewolves. This was crucial when Hermione and Harry was in the forrest attached by Lupin.

I think it is even possible that Snape simply cared about Harry and that was the reason why he was trying to correct him when Harry was reckless like his father, because he was in constant danger. So maybe he didn’t have any mixed feelings. Parental figures are often severe with the children they care about.

All this time Snape would have to also hide all of his care and pretend to loathe him because… you know who… was still out there and bound to come back. Snape would have precise instructions from Dumbledore for even the first year Harry comes to Hogwarts.

Noticed how much Snape makes sure to mock and hurt Harry in classes for Malfoy to see and surely report home?

I don’t agree with a bunch of these as he doesn’t know he has his old potion book for sure and tells Harry for all of school books and Harry asks to use Ron’s potion book before hiding his own and it doesn’t say that he gives unbridgeable a fake truth serum it says that Harry keeps his mouth tightly closed and when she turns her back he pours it in a potted plant and although he does teach the whole dueling club the expelumis spell he also tells Draco to cast the spell that conjures the snake and when Harry speaks pasel tongue the snake drops down and that’s when snaps actually gets rid of the snake so he actually he only saves Harry maybe a handful of times and only because of the fact that he loved Harry’s mother

I'm not so sure about Snape allowing Harry to "keep his old textbook", even if Snape realized before Harry used Sectum Sempre that Harry somehow got Snape's book, when Snape asks Harry to bring his potions book it's unlikely he would have allowed Harry to keep it given what Harry just did to Draco

actually harry wouldnt have been able to tell umbridge where the order hq was because of 2 reasons:
1: Veritaserum and methods of torture cant make someone tell a secret. It needs to be totally voluntary.
2: Harry couldnt tell Umbridge even if he wanted to because he was not the secretkeeper(which was dumbledore). Secondary secretkeepers(the people who have been told the secret by the main secretkeeper) cant tell others the secret.

I have another theory that would mean Snape saved Harry 14 times. Though it is not labeled canon, when Snape asked Voldemort to spare Lily what if Voldemort agreed, he did tell Lily to step aside rather than just kill her, after all. When he killed m Lily, whether or not she actually jumped in front of Harry as he cast the killing curse, the reason why his next curse saved Harry and destroyed his body was because in a way him promising to spare Lily was something like an unbreaking vow. What if this was another form of ancient magic? When Voldemort agreed to spare Lily only to kill her in the end, magic reacted to his breaking his oath. So even if it was Lily’s sacrifice that saved Harry, Snape pleading for mercy being ignored is what destroyed Tom the first time and gave the world peace for over ten years.
