P3/P3plus is enough for gaming

Don't be fooled you gain no FPS from a "Gaming" nvme the only thing to gain is map loading times. Actual gaming you would never even know you were on a mechanical HHD vs a ssd/nvme

Test approximately 150GB, because nowadays games are over 100GB, and you will see real real speeds.

I just bought a 500gb P3 for £25.

What i can understand by this good testing is that p3 can beat p3plus and p5plus if copying small files?
I don't know when its mentioned 64gb of game files, was there a single file? or multiple files or multiple files archieved, these differences can lead to slightly different results to be noticed.
The only thing is durability which is the point to be considered, but again after 5 years there be so so much tech and the p5plus will be like HDD these days and health will not be a consideration to upgrade from that. I think if it can last like 6-7 years, its good to go. Though i have used a laptop for 8 years, the HDD it had is critical now, but i still use it as 2nd backup (unplugged).

How can a peak speed of p5 plus read is 2.71 and average is 2.81

Peaks should always have to be the top touched speed right.?

What a shame there is no P5 Plus 4TB yet, I had to go with P3 Plus instead.

Once you go upgrade HDD to NVME SSD. Measly 1second speed difference between SSDs feels like child's play when deciding to upgrade.

i just recently bought a p3 tb ssd, sometimes i notice my disk drive activity light will stay on for a minute while gaming off of it but wont actually show any activity in the task manager, should i worry or nah? cause performance seems fine

I just purchased several p3's. I was hoping to use it to store videos/ photos and video editing. Will I be able to edit 4k videos seamlessly on the P3 or should I upgrade to the P3 Plus?

did the crucial 2tb came with a screw?! i bought mine off ebay and i'm missing the screw. My motherboard asrock steelseries b450m didnt had one either, did the m2.ssd package include a screw?

Bought a 2TB P3 Plus for $110. It may not be the fastest PCI-E gen 4 SDD out there but it's exceeded my expectations and for the price you can't fault it.

Crucial P3/P3 Plus(220 TBW) has 1/3rd TBW compared to WD Blue SN570(600TBW) which makes it useless to buy.

For general usage, there is not much difference between the three, except extra durability, and extra speed, which you may not need. Unless you are working heavy duty and high end stuff, P3 is good enough and cheap, and durable enough to give you 10 years of normal usage or 5 years of heavy usage.

so what's the difference between p3 and p5 pci 3.0? I have p5 500gb and my tbw is 300 since p3 is more cheaper than p5 like 30$ less

I'm hoping that 8tb SSD becomes more common place. ATM the only ones in a decent price range are Samsung ones that came out 2-years ago.
