Do you use the same size brush for figures that are a smaller scale
ОтветитьA Very special Thank you , Troy .
🐺Loupis Canis .
Lovely job on these, they look fantastic.
ОтветитьReally loving these. So tempted by the KS. And a great paintjob as ever. 15mm is my go to scale for CoC so great to see they are scaleable.
ОтветитьSuperb work as always, Sledge! I've got really into 10mm myself over the last year or so, and the dopamine hit from being able to finish an entire base of miniatures in under an hour is a great feeling!
One thing I wanted to ask, as I notice you've been using more of the Fanatic paints lately: one of the things I really love(d) about the old Warpaints range is the slight transparency that you get when you paint layers and highlights - I think it really helps to blend the colours together nicely. With that in mind, how have you found Fanatic (with its higher pigmentation and better coverage) compares? I'm worried my layers will end up looking too stark!
Most impressive 10mm sculpts, painting...and basing!
ОтветитьI use your “universal tan drybrush for everything” technique for pretty much everything! Lol
I use Army Painter Skeleton Bone, and after my Vallejo brown earth texture paste has a good day or so to fully dry and I’ve already applied my wash, I’ll drybrush everything in Skeleton Bone starting with the base and then the rest of the figure. On uniforms it looks like fading, on metal it looks like a bit of a shine, on vehicles it makes a nice edge highlight and it also looks like slightly dusty or dirty from dried mud on pretty much anything. It’s a very easy one and done solution to highlighting that is great for making things look really good without needing too much skill (which I only have a little of. Lol).
This was a big help as I have wanted to paint some 10mm figures. Thanks for sharing this tutorial.
ОтветитьSmall scale, but no less Plucky! (Look great BTW) Cheers!
ОтветитьLooking incredible as always 👌 can't wait for mine to look half as good for double the effort 😅
ОтветитьEpic battles Caesar please !
ОтветитьVery cool 😎 ❤
Ответить"At 6mm, don't paint this bit"....wise advice my friend., (I've just started painting Gross Deutschland in 6mm for the Rommel rules and I'm fighting a ((probably doomed)) battle against myself over whether I should paint the cuff titles on the infantry's left sleeves....
That way lies madness, but these are very very nice guys you've painted up!
If you’re into doing small scale stuff I’d love to see you do a review and painting on the new Team Yankee US and Soviet plastic infantry kits!
ОтветитьThank you for showing the basing steps, too! I've really struggled with basing small scale miniatures.
ОтветитьLovely tutorial, thanks for using these minis! Was interesting to see the Sonic Tonic...
As for the additional steps to be "extra" I can quite readily empathise as someone who has a bad habit of painting 6/10mms to the standard of 15mms :I If you don't know when to call it a day and back out to preserve your sanity, you can easily squander far more time than you need to on the little things!
Nice to see you using the tonic. I was going to use it on some armoured clash stuff but couldn't decide if I should add more medium to thin it out more
ОтветитьThe bases don't look any thicker than 10mm metal miniatures out there
ОтветитьSONIC TONIC:is my new favourite thing :D
ОтветитьLooks great as usual Troy👍🏻
