Arithmetic progression is better than this

Bruh. Even i thought of this technique. Time to time travel.

The FORMULA can be also written as n(n+1)/2
= 100 × 101 ÷ 2
= 10100/2
= 5050

but the real formula in mathematics is
n(n+1)/2,
in this case, it is
100x101/2
or, 50x101
or, 5050.
therefore the sum is 5050

Math speed isn't about rules it's about creativity
Does anyone else have quarters like 25 50 75 100 in their brain subconsciously and have units memoed subconsciously so that they can calculate fast?

that is super easy if you know square numbers

S100= 100/2(1+100)
= 50×101=5050
Formula:
Sn= n/2(a+l)
a is the first term and l is the last term.

I added every number to get hundred (leaving 50) and then added the 100s up and the 50

Sn = n/2[2a + (n-1) × d]
S100 = 100/2[2×1 + 99 × 1]
= 50 × 101
= 5050

When you say about the question adding number 1 to hundred I also adding like
• arranging 100,99,98,97... and 1,2,3,4....
And then added them 😅
