I watch this report, read the comments, and understand that many people are stuck in the past. The Poles write that the Russians are bad because they occupied them, the Balts are also unhappy, the Serbs remember their grievances (although they have the right to do so, because this happened recently and many were participants). This is ressentiment. And, to the surprise of many, I will say that in Russia this is almost non-existent now. Someone is sad that the USSR collapsed, someone remembers the Russian Empire and curses the Bolsheviks, but no one hates any country. It would seem that we should hate the Germans now for what happened during the Second World War, but the Russians do not have this. And the current war with Ukraine has modern causes, namely the 2014 Donbass conflict and NATO expansion. There is no resentment or hatred towards anyone, and Putin or other persons from among the supreme authorities always blame the tops of states, and not countries or people
