I'm sure you already have your opinions about this product, so I don't need to ask. 😂 I'll be making a follow-up video, where I talk about different softwares on M1. Coming soon, but be patient, as I want to use it for a while before making a review. Thanks ^^

Hi, hope u answer I’ve been thinking of getting air m1 or just an ipad, is it good for just an autocad and sketch up? then I’ll just transfer the files to my pc for rendering. Is it good just for lightweight use in terms of basic architectural software like cad and sketch up since it just an m1 chip?

Terrible for architecture, I’ll never buy a Mac again going back to PC, having a Mac is like being shut off from the world. Unless you want to record an album of music stick to PC

the answer is a Big NO.. as an architect who is using a Macbook pro for 11yrs it's NO.. I just recently bought myself a rtx4060 laptop and I am planning to connect it to an oled monitor to get a complete package of having a computer that is powerful, program friendly, and having a beautiful screen in one setup..

I’m an architecture student second year now, I’ve been using the newest MacBook Pro with the M1 chip for the whole of the second year and I want to say it’s been rather amazing, I’ve seen everyone around me using gamer laptops for their work , while I thought I missed out on many of the programs like rendering programs and revit, I discovered that downloading the program parallels has given me access to all those programs, it’s basically running windows in the background while I work on those programs that aren’t yet available on the MacBook Pro, not to mention that I could work on my Mac for 12 hours straight with 3 rhino files open, 2 photoshop, my WhatsApp and a bunch of little things, while the windows in the background is running and I’m using revit, all of that without needing to charge my laptop once, it’s extremely quite and peaceful to work with compared to all my classmates with their fire jets next to me whenever they open google. I’m obviously not spreading hate on windows, I fully understand that Mac OS isn’t there yet, but my experience has been absolutely amazing, I went from considering of getting another laptop just for the rending programs to now using my MacBook without the need for another laptop, I would definitely recommend it for anyone looking for a laptop, especially especially if you have other apple products because the smoothness of the work becomes stupendous , having airdrop between the devices has saved me so much time, or even my iCloud being so seemingly connected with everything, it’s been quite pleasant, and the best thing so far, 0 absolutely 0 crashes and 0 lost work which has fucked me up so bad on the first year!💔

Autodesk products are the devil! :) No Autodesk, never! Ok, having said that, let's see... 1) There are lots of Autocad clones, so no problem, above all there are many with a perpetual license! Great. 2) For 3D obviously NEVER Revit, yes the wonderful Archicad, native with MAC. 3) Adobe products? Never! Those of Affinity are perfect: Publisher, Photo, Designer. 4) Photo editing? Excellent Capture One Pro! 5) For texts and spreadsheets we already have all the necessary apps on the Mac. What's left? The calculation software for the quantity takeoff... and here, depending on the country where you work, there are some problems, because they are mostly for windows.
"Defects" of the Mac: it costs a lot, but above all you must always keep it in maintenance and active warranty, otherwise if it breaks down you are economically ruined.
Objectively, workstation PCs, especially Dell and HP, are more flexible and adaptable in the architecture and engineering sector. But after thirty years of Windows we want something new compared to the usual noisy fans, and other typical Windows bullshit :)

This video is fantastic but needs an update or follow up video since both AutoCAD and SketchUp now run natively on Apple Silicon processors. Also you can now run Parallels to operate a Windows VM on M1/M2 processor Macs.
