Don't take the advice of a guy who's wearing a t shirt and basically a crap outfit.

I used this technique today and it took me almost 40 minutes. 10 minutes for the iron to heat up and then was able to iron like the video shows. I understand this is for when you wear a jacket with the shirt, so you are not ironing the back of the shirt, so hopefully I don't need to take off my jacket or vest. 🥲

This is how you iron a shirt and no, 90 seconds is not enough, who are you kidding?? So in this order:
Shoulders
Upper back (between shoulders)
Sides
Back
Sleeves
Collar

Only iron one cuff

So at the age of 37 I’ve discovered that I have been using the wrong end of the ironing board. Story of my life 😂

The iron looks expensive.

It takes me minimum 15 minutes to really iron a dress shirt well. I’ve been doing them for years. I agree with the “use a water bottle,” (a can of starch is even better,) BUT only set your iron to the highest setting if your shirt is 100% cotton!!! Any sort of synthetic or cotton/polyester blend and you have to go lower or you will scorch/burn your fabric. (Always test in an unnoticeable area first, like a very lower end of the shirt tail.)

Iron with teflon surface is best. Much more easier sliding. 👍

If you want to iron half a shirt use the ironing board as shown in this demonstration. If you want to iron the whole shirt use the ironing board as we all know it should be used.

If you buy your clothes at a store that also sells cases of motor oil you don’t need to worry about ironing.
