Hi Steve, Here's is one more easy tip. If you want to debug an app without the `--inspect flag`, simply add a command to the package.json scripts. For example, you can add "debug-app":"node app.js". If you hover over "debug-app", you will see two options - "debug" and "start". Click on "debug" and it will start debugging in VS Code itself. You can then add your debugger in VS Code, add watches, and set breakpoints as required.

Amazing, but if it helps anyone you only need to pass the —inspect flag. So if I did node —watch —inspect server.js it’d be like having nodemon running with in browser dev tools! ❤❤❤

It’s cool but what’s stopping us from using IDE’s debugger?

Why not just debug directly from your vscode?

Somebody doesn't know it? Better tell whether there is a smart and easy way to debug node.js deployed on dev or qa instance, e.g. on AWS.

Thanks for this! However, I'm afraid that this isn't possible for Firefox DevTools though - because it uses a different JS engine than Chrome's sadly.

Goodness. I use webstorm. Server-side debugging node is the eaaaasy part. Don’t need to do anything.
