Fact: the MRI machine was invented by a young earth creationist, Dr Damadian. He holds the patent for MRI machines. In granting awards for MRI, the Nobel Prize committee defined the terms of the prize to not relate to the invention of the MRI machine but rather to the imagining aspect, excluding Dr Damadian. This was the source of major controversy.
