How to DETECT INFLAMMATION With C-REACTIVE PROTEIN

Hi Dr Susan. I have had a series of CRP blood tests. They all score 1 mg/L. I understand that HSCRP is different. But given my low score in the CRP ... is it actually worth me asking for a HSCRP test?

I've been monitoring hsCRP for past 10 years. The only time I got it less than 1 was on raw vegan diet. Last year it 1s 1.8 and my diet is good(mediterranean high plant based). What else can you do to lower? Not diagnosed with osteoporosis and hypertension. FMS diagnosed 25 or so years ago. Neurological symptoms as well. Worked so hard to get well, only to get more diagnoses.

Is it possible to score a zero on a HS-CRP?

Hi Doctor thank you so much for your awesome video! My hs-crp just came back at 0.79 mg/L Could you tell me if this is considered an elevated level according to your knowledge? I am a 40 year old post-op trans woman and I also have an elevated Lipoprotein(a) of 97nmol. What if my high sensitivity C-reactive protein is at 13.7

It's an EXPENSIVE test and told us nothing. $60 and the lab that billed me told me "No insurance pays for this." OUCH!!!!

CRP is nonspecific so it does not indicate any specific ailment other than "inflammation."

It can also indicate dietary problems/nutritional deficiencies.

I spoke with 4 different doctors recently about CRP and none of them had the slightest concern about my high sensitivity test results: 13, with a "normal" range of 0 to 3.

Another test indicated my level was 8, with a normal level of 0 to 10.

The doctors also indicated, the "normal" or "healthy" level depends on the lab performing the test and also the type of test (high sensitivity or not a high sensitivity).

Hi Dr Susan, is Alkaline C Buffer, same as Buffered Vitamin C? If it is What Milligram should one take, Especially 57yrs old male.

My dr just ordered a regular crp test and an esr test. She did not order the high sensitivity. Is there value in having this redone?
