Barcelona is safe as far as robberies etc but the pickpocketing crime is huge, you won't even know how they did it, there is no violence its just a pain, everyone just accepts it, I had issues trying to pay my hotel, they just weren't interested, I was happy to pay i just needed them to give me a different option to get the money to them but no interest

Something that is bad in Murcia where my Fiancée comes from....is people that try and point you to parking spaces that are free and if you don’t tip them they will damage your car, most are immigrants from Africa.

Yep ,they stole my two suitcases in terminal one in Barcelona airport ,when I complained to police ,they said go home we can’t do nothing ,probably they stole it ,in it my two cell phones an iPad ,gifts and clothing ,all gone ,Spain actually full of thieves including their arrogant police ,people the visitors should always be carefull in Spain including from their police who are thieves also.

I was just in Barcelona for a week with my daughter and it was an absolute amazing place!!! We had a blast!!! I guess working in NYC for the past 25yrs made me tough because I didn't feel unsafe at any point!!! Go visit Barcelona! It's Beautiful!!!

Very teue information ℹ️ i challenge those which are commenting about safety to come down town Raval , Ramblas , Plasa cataluña and see the reality. I see people people every day getting robbed by marrocans , Algerian mafias. Police even have no control over them 😔

Barrio chino is or was on the other side of the ramblas from el rabal. Or at least is how I grew up knowing many decades ago. Tho my actual barrio was far from there was also a zone considered dangerous. Of course, if you lived there no problem at all hehe.
