Another great video!
Ответить:)
Ответитьhello can i ask if this type of character or movie analysis videos can be monetized?
ОтветитьThe only author I trust is Garth Marenghi as he is the only author I know of who has written more books than he's read. Obviously he knows his beans.
Ответить"Andre wants to become a truly great musician, so he continues to fight as hard as he can through everything Fletcher throws at him"
I see what you did there
Well done, Tyler! This was extremely helpful for my current film analysis. I was trying to figure out why a protagonist wasn't resonating and I think it's because the screenwriters didn't give them a "need" lol
ОтветитьThis guy would be so fun at parties
ОтветитьSo why is Goffry from game of thrones so engaging?
ОтветитьI needed this video! Totally gave me a lightbulb moment!!
ОтветитьJ.K. Simmons as Fletcher is such a great character
ОтветитьAnyone help me how to build character? For actor?
ОтветитьI just discovered this video, and now my outlining feel so empty
ОтветитьYou helped me muster up a great character for a screenplay 5 years in the making. Thank you.
ОтветитьGangsters are appealing because the live outside normal society convention. They live dangerously like James Bond, but unlike Bond, gangsters are subject to reality at some point. The lesson often learn that freedom to do as you will comes with a price. The line between what could be real and what is real. Bond couldn't be real and Michael Corlene might be real given a certain historical context.
ОтветитьIt’s so hard for me to come up with a plot goal, everything else has been easy and I’ve known it all since I’ve started thinking of my book but the goal has always confused me. I think I figure it out and then realise that I made an internal goal, and when I try to think of goals all of them seem too silly for my book, like wanting to break his mom and her boyfriend up.
Ответитьhold on so you mean to tell me I’ve been writing a book. Doing exactly everything you said. Without searching anything about how to write a good character. Fuck I’m trippen
Ответитьgreat work
ОтветитьStep1: India
ОтветитьGREAT ,MAN ...REALLY THINKING BEYOND AN AVERAGE PERSON
ОтветитьGreat fucking job, Tyler Mowery!!! Fuck yeah - that's a bang up job, man!!! Gonna watch Part Two now - feel utterly certain you won't disappoint.
ОтветитьOnce father asked to daughter to gave him phone immidetly. But the daughter is buisy in kitchen and tell this to her brother. The father beat her for telling it to brother. The sister got sad and stick the door. In this case who is guilty.
This story is written by me 😁😁. Plese anyone answer this question to continue this script.
That's I wanted
ОтветитьThis is really helpful specially right know i'm a film college student right know. it makes me more understanding about how to make a characters in story.
ОтветитьThanks, you explained, perfectly!
Ответитьthis is incredible thankyou !!
ОтветитьI needed this
ОтветитьGREAT VIDEO!!!!
ОтветитьI want to know more about creating supporting characters.
ОтветитьGreat vid 👍
ОтветитьI am much better at world building than i am with character continuity. In a sense that i get bored of them bc i find them boring myself. So thanks for the help!
ОтветитьThank you
ОтветитьHey Tyler I'm loving the videos so far - really helpful, can you do a video based on created a "Villain" that works with the screenplay structure you've done videos on?
That would be awesome!
👏💥💫👌❤🙏💙💗🕉🙏
ОтветитьNo, no, no. The audience hates the Joker and Lou from "Nightcrawler." Their one overriding want and need is to see these evil characters thrown in Fargo's woodchipper.
Ответить✌✌
Ответить✌✌
ОтветитьAny of you video essayists in the comments, could you upload a video/timelapse of yourself writing a character drama with narration?
I want to write for my games / animations and I’ve been searching around for a good tutorial on writing characters, like this video, and I would love to see critics/video essayists/screenwriters do a proper tutorial series giving the students(viewers) assignments (I like using video playlists, or videos with timestamp chapters ‘cause I can watch them over multiple weeks completing a single exercise per day) or at least showing the process / tools they use.
If you know anyone
Hi I am a new writer and I appreciate your helpful videos so much 😊
I am also a video editor
I would edit two videos for you for free if you would like🧡
If you are interested tell me thanks 🤠
great stuff
Ответить👌🏽
Ответитьthank u sooo muchhh it really helps!
ОтветитьJesus loves you, remember that! Great video also!
ОтветитьThe more clips I see from WHIPLASH, the more I hate it. It is all about SPORTS, zero about JAZZ! Love LA LA LAND though. And also the dark NIGHTCRAWLER. Of the new Batman franchise, only JOKER impressed me. (Does not belong really, I know). Like your stuff Tyler, really clever and analytic. One of my favorite screenplays: A FEW GOOD MEN. Greetings from Munich, working on my own script right now.
ОтветитьBuddha teaches us it is our desires that bring about pain and disappointment. But w/out desires, there is no story.
ОтветитьThanks so much for this insightful video. May God bless you all
ОтветитьI would do in fantasy that a character who has met someone who looks like him, that character he met will always be sad and he never smiles, the character has white blind eyes but can see. He will be predicting others' future that will bring sorrow or sadness, he could hardly cry, his eyes will be wide and stays sad all the time. He'll want to be saving others from becoming sad
