I saw one of ththose fly rides on white lake in montague , michigan about three weeks ago…it was weird as id never known something like that existed…..! Montague is just a very small town in a rural farming community.

What I've learnt from this: Sky cars are ugly and impractical.

I said back in the early 2000's battery design will hold us back and someone from Energizer bit my head off in complete denial. It's still true now. We badly need a new power storage design.

Propellers are getting smaller, why not have hundreds of tiny ones filling up a 2d area completely? Surely that's more efficient? I may be talking out my arse here 🤣😆

There will never be flying cars in general use as mainstream as predicted since the 1950's, NEVER!
Why?
People can't drive wheeled cars with 5,250,873 police-reported car accidents in 2020, according to the NHTSA. That averages out to 14,386 accidents per day, or one crash every six minutes!!! A simple fender bender on the road is not that serious, however doing that while flying...well that's serious.

This is not a flying car. This is giant drone. Flying car can running too also in a hi-way. Not only can fly.

We're not thinking of how we're going to controll these flying cars we already got flying cars called hellcopter or plane and trust me not all of us can fly plans so what you think it's going to be when you fly a car the same way

Publish it in Europe, or learn what a mile per hour is. None of these will ever hit the market, anyone pre-ordering will lose their money. These things come and go as fast as the narrator changes his underwear. None of this tech is ever going to solve anything.

The world will never have private flying transport such as cars and bikes . You can’t have millions of people flying around wherever they like. People have to be kept under control . The countries of the world are hardly going to start building highways in the sky at massive expense. Imagine people getting DUI s in charge of a flying vehicle?

my idea could be urban transit also..
faster and safer than bicycles...near zero vehicle mass, gravity storage propulsion, ( staircases/elevators and zip-lines ) Way, WAY, More Efficient than VTOL.

like instead of owning a bicycle, you have a harness, tether, and zip car with ceramic bearings....the cable gate is timed, you hook on, pick up your feet, and wait for it to trip, ( then it resets )

anything VTOL is less efficient over aircraft distance, and even less efficient, yet still, over shorter distances.. ( into an energy bottleneck, and climate change ? _
where there are much more efficient land based commuter scale transit options which already exist;
( but where Un-Maned VTOL applications will always have some niche )
like i thought of a transit system which would combine eco-tourism with local rural transit....near zero vehicle mass, gravity storage propulsion, ( walking paths and zip lines ) That is efficient...

I have to laugh that the narrator keeps speaking about these vehicles that cost a couple of hundred thousands dollars like that's a lot of money that only a hand full of people or billionaires can afford. I guess they haven't noticed the prices of new cars & truck lately? When you have FORD trucks & Broncos going for upwards of close to $100K what's another $100 - $200K?
