E.H. Taylor Small Batch Is Good, But Is It Worth The Hunt?

Four Roses Single Barrel is not my jam, but my favorite bottle of all time, right now, is E.H. Taylor. Palets are different.

Found a single barrel for $85 the other day. They had a bottle of Blanton’s Gold for $140 I snagged too.

Is 100$ good for this bottle or pass? Never had it

My cousins got me a bottle of EH for a wedding (I’m getting married this weekend) and I absolutely love it. What a great gift and one I will savor over time.

Man I’d kill just to be able to find one by me. The shops get like maybe 1 or 2 buff trace allocated a month and they go immediately i almost wish they’d Jack up the price so people would leave it for me 🥲

I found one at 43 bucks today, I've never had any bourbon, and I was obviously not looking for it, I had a nice conversation about scotch with the store clerk, and he told me I had to buy it. Pleasantly surprised.

I just picked up a bottle at $128 with tax. Guess how much the Willer Authentic 107 was going for? $220 jesus! No way I am paying that. EVERYTHING is more expensive in the big cities. Meanwhile you find Blantons at $99, Eagle Rare at $50 wth?

These are usually around 100 over here in western europe, but if you check out specialty stores in your area you might find it a little below 80. I've very much enjoyed my bottle at that price point, im about halfway through

Im curious for a Jack Daniels 12 Year review. I finally found a JD12 for $110 and im watching this review bc i snagged an EHT SiB and Small Batch but havent opened either yet. Got both for $140 total which isnt bad. But the JD12 i picked iver the JD10 and i feel its really good but got hyped up just like every unicorn does.

just rewatched this video after finding a bottle hidden behind others at MSRP. Boy do i feel unworthy...

Everything is worth "the hunt". Hunting is what makes this a fun hobby. Is it worth the secondary market price is the question I'd ask. And the answer is no...depending on price. $50-60 MSRP...make you own decision. I wouldn't go over $75 probably. Maybe $80.

I just picked up my bottle at $75 but I got it in a gift pack with a bottle of bulleit pre mix old fashioned and a bottle of chardonnay so I feel like I did pretty good

How much does it affect the flavor profile on an open bottle. I don't drink often or much and would like to know before investing in an expensive bottle.

Was at a bourbon rewards day today. Passed on the EH T to grab a Stagg. Will eventually come across one. Didn't have enough points to grab both. It was selling for $47 bucks.

There are a few stashed at the local liquor store for $70.
I picked one up and am not disappointed at that point. I dont know that i'd pay much more than that though.

It's decent. It's not special. The $45 MSRP is a tad much. $40 seems closer to correct. If an objective approach is taken and all the tater BS is set aside, it's just decent.

Just a few days ago I was graced with finding a bottle of this at a little over 60 bucks. Never thought I’d pick up. First allocated bottle and found it just in time for my wedding this Easter weekend!

I found a bottle by accident for $60, I just happened to walk into a store with a very nice proprietor. I had never been there before and was about to grab a KC store pick, when I hear, "What are you looking for?". I said, "Something I don't have", and he proceeded to pull out EH Taylor SB, MM BRT-01, EC18 and a few others.

For a lot of you, this isn't a big deal. In my town, it is unheard-of to find 1 of those bottles, let alone all of them in 1 shop. I passed on the EC18, but grabbed the Taylor and BRT-01 @ $60 each.

This dude is a joke. Your wrong about "one season of grains" you can only use barrels made during "one distillation season" in that batch of B.I.B (ex. Spring 2016; Jan-June, Fall 2016; July-Dec.) I only watch your videos to see what bullshit your spilling to the public. Dude your full of shit.
