First! Also switches rule.
ОтветитьYes!! Just played a small live show and had my joranalogue switch 2 on some modulation switch duty and thought to myself that I could do so much more with it. Thanks for the inspiring video!
ОтветитьOutstanding tutorial!
ОтветитьGreat guide, been interested in the switch technique lately. This video is the right time, Thank you.
ОтветитьSo many great switch tips, thanks! I love simulating mallet percussion: Seqence Trigger> Rachet trigger> Switch, both input AND CV. 2 outs > 2 AR envs> 2VCA CV ins. sine wave( s) ( can differentiate harmonically by various means)> VCA audio in. Now the Envs won't get cut off as they would with just a single quick trigger path.
ОтветитьAnother wonderful video, thank you, always so well explained and easy to follow. 🙂
ОтветитьSwitches are great at highlighting the sound design possibilities with Eurorack. Many of them come with reset inputs that will force the switch to go back to the first output. This can be used to create polymeters/polyrhythms in the modulation.
ОтветитьCool Video, many thanks. 😃
ОтветитьGreat video! Very inspiring!
ОтветитьExcellent diagram usage, quick sub.
ОтветитьSuch great info here! Thank you. The 2hp cv controlled switch (4in 1out) was one of my first modules and have recently been exploring a few different use cases. What great timing👍
ОтветитьAlways amped when Monotrail slaps out some new patch ideas to spark the soul!! Switches are so fun and potent.
ОтветитьSteevio uses a sequential switch to constantly change which of four drums is receiving the trigger pattern. This way the drums are never triggered on the same beat, while he's free to mess with complex, unpredictable trigger patterns during the performance.
The clock input is not a straight pattern either, and he uses the reset as well I think, but I'm not sure why. I thought for a sec that it would make semi random patterns repeat so that it would become musical, but that only works if all the trigger patterns are also repeating the same way, but he mixes 5 and 7 step patterns for percussion, so that's probably not it.
Plz consider doing a video on the Ladik S-210. Thanks!
ОтветитьGreat video
Check out Axis 8s videos a few months ago he took switches to a whole different galaxy and back
Mind bending perception of switches
Shouldn't it be 2 octaves down, not 4 for the graphic oscillator patch?
ОтветитьFinally remembered to use your link to get an ALM MFD Crossfader. Hope you get a few euros from it.
ОтветитьCool tutorial! I also built a whole bunch of passive modules with various switching, mult and push button stuff. Easy to make and minimal expense - blank panel (I cut my own from alu plate), switch, jacks, soldering. It'sgood to have some patchbay and routing options, especially to interface 1/4 and 1/8
