People say "Nurse" too freely. There are ARNPs, RNs, LPNs, and CNAs in descending order of responsibility. At the bottom end they wipe butt's and clean up vomit. At the top end they write prescriptions and perform most of the same duties as a doctor. Having expectations when you hear 'nurse' is like assuming everyone that works in a hospital is a doctor.
