"The Fishing Grounds are isolated and hard to come by." Or where I live, just walk down to the shore and start fishing. Sure, it will be mostly Cod and Pollock. But a small halibut is fully possible from shore with just a fishing rod. If you have a boat, same principle just 5 min from shore with the boat and you can get some big ones.

The factory trawlers are the reason halibut stocks are in poor condition. Those large factory trawlers throw millions of pounds of halibut crab cod and what ever else back into the ocean dead. The halibut stocks are in danger along with other fish and shellfish. I hunt fish and trap so I’m not a person who is a green peace or one of those I just see it wrong what the trawlers do in Alaskan waters. They should be shut down permanently

You need to give credit to EIS Alaska for using some of their productions, as they have their own seafood ordering company which supports their family. Least you could do when "borrowing" 😮 their hard work for your own profit!

Exon is the reason the fish is so expensive. After their oil spill in Alaska areas were closed off and the cost for halibut fishing license went into the millions. You need several hundred grand an have an open license if you want to fish commercially and that is for a very small amount of fish. If you get a boat you can catch then for pennies.
