how are you gonna rank as a new beginner/mid account when your missing a juge majority of the rune/glyphs. into a player who has most of it unlocks. its a huge advantage during the laning phase. eventually LOL wised up or maybe they made soo much dam money and it looked bad for new player experience that they changed it. dam greedy bastards.

In LoL, you need to pay if you want to have access to all heroes without grinding for years. You get all heroes right away in DOTA.

I love LoL, but DOTA is the better game by far. Complexity and depth make for more interesting playmaking and creativity.

That said, lots of mechanics from LoL I wish DOTA had: passives, skill scaling with stats, more skillshot spells, more interesting skill design, more heroes and original mechanics. They could also add bushes.

if you want more complexity, teamwork, and more coordinated teamfights. DotA is the way for you.
If you want simple, flashy and fast gameplay, League is the way.
i went for DotA cause the fights can also be flashy (chrono cata, black hole, Reverse Polarity, Literally any spirit except vengeful, literally just invoker, etc.)
I like longer games, coordinated fights and such.
