In here we celebrate it with hamantashen and kosher wine. Even some old people dressed funny for Purim. Now in terms of the drinking, It's about not being able to discern good from evil, since it's important to do so.

-All about kosher food! I have never heard of different levels of kosher, and am intrigued to learn about the differences.

The minimum of matanot lae'vtonim (gifts for the poor) is the minimum to but a meal, times two for two poor people. In Israel for example we give the price of two palafel dishes. You can check the price of a meal in you city.
