The Sims 2: 50 MORE FUN LITTLE DETAILS not in Sims 3 & Sims 4

Gotta do some more clarifications again:
- Sims 4 do have split screens in the console games, but the games will always use 4-player splitscreen regardless of the player's number.
- I'm gonna admit I got the "messy eating" wrong because you can eat messily as a slob sim in Sims 3 (not Sims 4 glutton eating, it's different than sloppy/slob)
- EDIT: Also admitting about the barista bar tending to be wrong because Sims 4 sims can tend on barista bar if there's no one tending, though they won't be paid hourly like in the video
- Yes, some of the features here are also in The Sims 1, but this video is titled "Sims 2 Details not in Sims 3 and 4 ", remember?
- Some of you said toddlers can throw up as well when you play with them in Sims 3, but I can't seem to reproduce them in the game after doing it several times. Can you tell how do you do it?

Shit... All these cry out loud lazyness from EA on Sims 4... Can't be bothered modeling different snacks/food container : let's make them all bowl. Can't be bothered programming animation of 1 sim giving a baby to another one : just remove it, baby will be treated like a f-ing object you put on the floor... Different dance for different personalities ? WHO CARES!...
Love this video, but it makes me angry at Sims 4 and just confirms me (if it was even needed...) that EA's leading hands on The Sims franchise have been really detrimental and Sims 4 is just as lazy as it is greedy...
And of course, it is the Sims game we're being stucked with for the longest time... (yes, it's nearly 10 years now that we're still on Sims 4... F-ing Skyrim/GTA 5 effect going on here... AAA studio can't be bothered doing effort on a new release, just keep milking on the same EP, even if it's the worst one in the franchise overall (in case of The Sims 4))

As someone who has only played Sims 4 (first Sims game I've played) and watching things about Sims 2, I'd be really disappointed if Sims 5 doesn't get the same love developers gave to Sims 2. Like I'm shocked that an old game like this outdid a game that I spent years wanting to play.

I know this video is older, and this probably doesn't count, but while Sims 2 is the only one for PC with helicopters, Bustin' Out had them too. I'm pretty sure you couldn't own one, but you would arrive at the big ending cutscene for reaching Lv.10 of each Career by landing in a helicopter on a yacht. This game is invaluable for Sims lore, but is often overlooked. Sims 1 and Bustin' Out on console have a continuous storyline involving the player's Mom and Malcolm Landgraab. You get to see firsthand the criminal activities and shady dealings that the Landgraab fortune was built on.

Once I made a sim in sims 2 named kay denis, she had 5 cats and 3 cowplants, and ended up getting eaten by one of her cowplants- no relation, just funny and ironic

It’s actually insane that they added family kissing, a feature from the sims 2, in an expansion pack that came out a few months ago

And if you skip out on the bill and get caught apparently you’ll be banned from the restaurant

No wonder i don't actually play Sims 4. Gameplay is so boring! I expected this amazing simulation that would mimic human expressions, interactions, and personalities. Instead I'm playing expensive Barbies. I cannot stress enough how disappointed I am.
Im willing to give up graphics for better game play. Definitely going to look for Sims 2 and its DLC.

The Sims 2 is soooo amazing

The sims 2 just felt organic in a way, if something makes sense in real life, it probably will also make sense in the sims 2 albeit a bit more goofy

One of my absolute favorite things with Sims 2 is that if you own a business then your family members can be actual employees. I remember an old Sims 2 game I had going the family had a restaurant and they hardly had employees cuz Dad was the host and Mom was the chef and two older siblings were the waiter/waitress. And I had the younger kids help by picking up trash and dishes lol

I also LOVE how you had to go actual clothes shopping instead of just already having everything.

There's so many little details that honestly bring Sims 2 to life FAAAR more than Sims 3 or 4. Idk why I see so many people begging for Sims 5 when this is their track record - a decline in quality and lifelikeness with every iteration. I don't blame the devs cuz I'm sure a lot of them (especially the ones who've been around since Sims 2) are bummed at all the things they can't do with the measly budget and time constraints EA gives them.

Number 65 actually exists in Sims 4 via Infants now ( i know that this video was made before infants)
