Fivefold Assembly Nianfo (Child’s Voice) 五会念佛 童声

The fivefold assembly Nianfo was created by Master Fazhao 法照大师 (the fourth patriarch of Chinese Pure Land Buddhism), inspired by the Infinite Life Sutra and under the guidance of Amitabha Buddha.

Fivefold Assembly Nianfo：
1st Assembly: Chant “Namo Amituofo” calmly and slowly.
2nd Assembly: Chant “Namo Amituofo” slowly in an upper voice.
3rd Assembly: Chant "Namo Amituofo” neither slowly nor fast.
4th Assembly: Gradually chant" Namo Amituofo" faster.
5th Assembly: Chant "Amituofo" fast.

This is an effective way to practise Nianfo and one will not feel tired even after Nianfo for a long time.

The opening of the music is "Praise of Amitabha Buddha (赞佛偈)."

阿弥陀佛身金色，相好光明无等伦。
白毫宛转五须弥，绀目澄清四大海。
光中化佛无数亿，化菩萨众亦无边。
四十八愿度众生，九品咸令登彼岸。

Amitabha Buddha's body is the colour of gold,
With incomparable good appearance and brightness.
His white urna curls around five Sumerus,
With eyes as pure as four great seas.
In His light transforms immeasurable millions of Buddhas,
As well as boundless transformed Bodhisattvas.
Forty-Eight Great Vows save all living beings,
Nine Grades enable all to arrive on the other shore.
