Loved the vid dude. That earth one in Texas did look beautiful. Well they all did to be fair. But my fav still has to be the earth ship. Theirs factors to take into consideration for different country's as it varies the earthships capabilities. But it's just how it ticks so many boxes whilst being so unique too. An they all just look so comfy too. An free air con, I mean common Lol.

I want too have a small patch of freehold land on UK one Day, have a home stead an just make a big long earthship for my family an friend's l. And just enjoy life at a much safer budget an really leave my kids something wonderful

I'd love to know the cost involved in building each of these houses - land, materials, labour + kitchens and bathrooms, etc. I really want to build my own eco house, but it often feels financially out of reach in the UK.

I liked the #4 wood house and #2 rammed earth home. Eco houses would have a more welcoming reception if they looked like....HOUSES. Most people just want to live in regular houses, not igloos or glorified crates or space ships or Bilbo Baggins' shire. Is there a rule that says eco stuff has to look otherworldly or trailer trashy?

I feel like bamboo mixed with the eco dome design (depending on the climate) is like the most material efficient house

Good Afternoon Sir, i am building a bamboo home at present, we are obliged to use a percentage of concrete in the Philippines. we aim to use 95 % of the materials from our land, we have bamboo and wood. We are building an eco resort also, the same, 95 % from the land, all furniture built on site with NO glue. I do like the last one (bamboo house). Bamboo is very easy to find here in the Philippines 🇵🇭 and it's also cheap. I think it could be suitable for the climate here, too. My grandparents have a bamboo house and it's cool. 🍃

a lot of these ideas are just concept-stage and barely scrape the surface. They are being promoted by people who dont really understand the science involved. Some real-world highly useful options include solvent-free paints eg Lakeland Paints - which are solvent-free, VOC-free, Non-toxic and actually edible ! Surely, paint solvent is a tiny concern you might think ?? Not at all - paint emitted 24 MILLION tons of greenhouse-gas solvents into the atmosphere last year and every year (WHO 180 et al) - and these solvents are on average 20-50x worse than CO2. So - if you really want to do something to help counter global warming you could do a lot worse than switch to one of the VOC-Free paints out there.

because it's 2021 we all need to eat our words "eco friendly" isn't good enough or strong enough language CUTTING DOWN trees should be illegal we've already cut down haft the trees in the world and now there are fires some started intentionally ,but wild fires are no joke any intact forest is to be protected with armed guards and fenced to stop tree theft they ether belong to the state or to private foundations not to businesses paper should be made from grass and all buildings that use have wood parts should now have carbon composite paneling and structural materials there should be factory like buildings to suck carbon out of the air as fast as it was dumped into the air and these carbon panel factories should be everywhere in all countries and they should sell the panels cheap to cover the cost of scrubber parts there is a big market for solid carbon panels just like sucking the chemicals and micro plastics out of the ocean once out of the water these plastics should be melted together into thick building materials that DON"T blow away in the wind
like the shopping bags and other stuff did I suggest hydroponic green houses for desert farming far away from the ocean and anchored down it's much better that way you don't even want to use them for clothes because they'll still blow away into the ocean all car companies should now make electric vehicles only and cleaner batteries and sailing ships for cargo and passengers should come back into use and i have a great use for the oil rigs that are now illegal put them together in the first sea steading island in the mid-atlantic
for sailing ships and electric airplanes to stop over at for fresh water and recharging yes things will slow down ,but if you just have to be there in person plan ahead wow I just was so triggered by the word eco-friendly sorry I'm not saying anything new AK
