truthfully speaking only nikon can match canon jpegs haha...so yeah for wedding shooter...i stick with Canon and Nikon...but Canon mostly
ОтветитьWill the Canon 580EX2 flash work on the R5?
Ответитьhad an R5 and it overheated in Arizona...... I sold it and still shoot with my Canon 5DSR and my for video I use my 1DX MKiii .......
ОтветитьWhen i shoot video i use a Canon vixia HF G70. When I shoot images i use a DSLR or mirrorless.
ОтветитьI just ordered this camera cuz I wanted to get into mirrorless but not pay the super high end price of the R3. After I ordered it I went into watching reviews on it and when I came across your channel I remembered I watched a lot of your videos back when I bought my first camera. Especially the weather sealing was one of my points I wasn‘t too sure about from reading it up on the internet. Thanks for talking about it too! So from all I heard in your video I‘m even more excited to get it into my hands and I‘m sure it will be a major upgrade over my 90D I‘ve used for a couple years now. Can‘t wait! Edit: I read the overheating issue in 8K video shooting has been adressed in firmware. Is it a different story now?
ОтветитьExcellent review!!
ОтветитьHi Christopher, as usual a great review which I used to help me make a decision back in the day. I have had the R 5 for 2 years, I wonder if you feel an updated review maybe a good idea now, in view of all the firmware updates that have hopefully addressed many of the issues, particularly as this is still very much a current model?
ОтветитьBest reviewer ever I like native speaker reviews
ОтветитьSuch an INCREDILE review
ОтветитьI notice the “Mode” word on the top button is one degree off the horizontal, just like mine.
Ответитьcanon got to keep you you tubers happy !!!!
ОтветитьI bought mine 3 weeks ago along with the F4.0 70-200mm and I have to say OMG. OMG what an amazing camera :)
ОтветитьThanks for the amazing review, been following you for many years now, very clear and concise, very pleasing review, your review gave me the confidence to finally sell my 5dmk4 and order the R5, really looking forward to using it for many years to come.
ОтветитьHey Chris! awsome review! did canon fix the problem you mentioned with the vertical bleur at 100th ss?
ОтветитьGreat review. Thanks Christopher
ОтветитьI sold my 6DMII. Now debating on R6 or R5.
ОтветитьGreat video, very informative... maybe loosen up your voice a bit to sound less robotic, but hey getting all the precise infos is as precious hearing them from Data 😀
ОтветитьGood camera in the winter months, keep your hands warm!! Canon did not market the R5 wrong they created a camera not fit for purpose. If a device has functionality it should work as described, if it doesn't work as described it clearly has design faults.
ОтветитьAppreciate you compiling this. While i’d welcome trying some of these, i value weight and portability maybe more than others. So, when i owned Canon FF dslrs i really loved their ef 40mm f2.8. And having recently switching to Nikon when switching to mirrorless, i’m really looking forward to seeing some reviews of Nikon’s newly released 40mm f2.
ОтветитьWow thanks for this! I learned more than a lot of more popular reviews especially about the battery! Thanks Christopher!
ОтветитьR5 or 7R4? HELP!?
ОтветитьYour content is amazing 🙂 I just ordered this camera and I'm coming from the R. God bless you for your contribution to the Church ✝️ Jesus is our Lord and Savior 🙌
ОтветитьGreat job…! Thanks
ОтветитьHello, Christopher. Delighted to have discovered your videos via this outstanding and intelligent review of the R5, which I'm hoping to make my next EOS purchase. So many nuggets you point out which have added more conviction to that purchase. Among them, so happy to learn that Canon has graciously acknowledged the fact that occasionally we EOS shooters have occasionally chosen to purchase aftermarket lenses such as Sigma ART, by including optimization for such lenses. Also delighted to see demonstrated just how effective the IBIS is on the R5. This is such a USEFUL review, I plan to watch it again (as my birthday - READ: Excuse to purchase sooner rather than later - approaches). It is so welcome to view camera reviews that are reasoned and devoid of noisy hype. Also, I appreciated your good taste in your music background. Needless to say, I have subscribed, and will look forward to viewing more of your work.
ОтветитьThank's! Please, can you tell me does the Canon fix a shutter shake problem on 1/100sec for now (latest firmware is 1.3)?
Ответитьlove your videos, when using sigma lens do you need a adapter>
ОтветитьI dont believe they marketed it a a video system, just the community that are headline reader that pushed it that way - for me the first things that hooked me was the af system and resolution
ОтветитьJust a great review . THANK YOU Christopher. I was buying the NIKON Z 7 2, but a 6 week wait just didn't cut it for me. My Sony 7 R stopped working and needed a new camera. I went to Adorama and was ready to just buy the NIKON , and was browsing around the Canon counter. Picked up the camera just for fun, as the price tag was prohibitive, and fell for it because of the ergonomics. I was trading in a lot of my equipment so it ended up costing me $1400. I must say the pictures are amazing. NOTHING to correct boost or sharpen. WOW. There are a lot of buttons I need to learn and functions but a little patience anything can be done.
Ответитьany camera that can compare to the r5 for stills at a lower price point? Video is not Important to me.
ОтветитьWhy i am feeling i phone can take better picture than R5
ОтветитьBravo Christopher! Another excellent review. If you had it to do over again - this of the Sony A7R IV?
ОтветитьWell, I would appreciate an R6 review. Thank you for your work and sharing all this information
ОтветитьHello, thank you for the great video. Do you know if Canon fixed the vertical blurring at 100th/second (ibis issue) you identified with the new 1.3 firmware?
ОтветитьIs this camera better than the A7rii in lowlight or is it about the same
ОтветитьI wouldn't mind upgrading to the R5 from the 5DIV but the R5 is just too damn expensive.
ОтветитьGreat review Christopher, thanks.
Ответитьaleizing?
ОтветитьThere's no other camera in the world that i want more.
ОтветитьExcellent. This was so helpful!
ОтветитьDid the Mechanical Shutter vertical blurring bug ever get addressed in subsequent firmware? If you shoot burst mode does it only affect the first exposure in the burst sequence or do all exposures in the burst suffer from vertical blur? Was it only with the 1/100th of a second shutter speed that you saw this bug?
ОтветитьJust... thank you.
ОтветитьRF lenses good. But very expensive and some very slow
ОтветитьFor its price tag, not delighted, u better be ecstatic to the Nth power. This baby better spit out gold nuggets.
ОтветитьMeanwhile ,i just got my old dream camera
Canon 5d mark ii ,
Pretty happy
I’m also seeing the blurring with mechanical shutter, mostly at 1/60, 1/100. Same for ECFS images beyond the first image in a burst series. I did some controlled tests and contacted Canon support about what I presume is shutter shock but didn’t get a satisfactory acknowledgment from them. You mention that they are planning to address this in a future firmware upgrade. Might this be coming in the next upgrade due in February 2021? I wouldn’t mind doing electronic shutter for many situations except that I am drowning in too many images captured due to inability to specify burst speed in electronic shutter. Thanks for your great content and presentation.
ОтветитьIt begins to look like a Sony, are they in bed together?
ОтветитьGreat, another plastic fantastic, that will be worn in 3 years against 3.000 usd.
