do you have mmtool 5.0?
ОтветитьGreat work 👌
Ответитьi haven't found any bios editors for my PCChips M919, Edom/Wintech MV035F or Biostar MB-8500TAC-A, since they all have 101094 AMI and the AMIBCP i have won't work with that version.
ОтветитьNecroware sent me here. Thank you so much for your info. Ps/2 mouse support on a 386 is mind blowing, I'd really like to hear you elaborate on that.
ОтветитьWhich adapter is needed to flash this type of EPROM chip for 386 machines?
ОтветитьThe size of the eproms is not the reason for splitting them in hi/lo (odd/even), it's simply the bus width. A regular 27256/512 has only 8 bit. Whereas in 16bit machines it's better performance-wise to have 2 of them in parallel. Otherwise you'd have to split the access to the rom in 2 8bit-reads which is slower. Newer 386/486 boards only use one 8bit ROM because they normally cache the whole bios-area and rom-speed is not as important as in the earlier days because windows was more common and the rom-routines wheren't accessed that often.
ОтветитьWow this works with DOSBOX.
Ответитьάκου, έχω μία rtx 2060 της gainward, να της κάνω overclock?
ОтветитьIs it possible to change HDD capacity limit with those tools? It's really pain in the ass to deal with 512 MB limit in older motherboards.
ОтветитьAmazing tutorial! Now I'm curious to know what hidden features are in the computers that I have!
ОтветитьVery useful video for all retro fans out there. I also modify my BIOS ROMs quite often in the same way.
A small question, the MX 27C512PC in your image are actually EEPROMs, aren't they? Just because you said, that they are not erasable. I actually never saw a pure BIOS PROM on any mainboard, only in printers couple of times.
