ОтветитьThere is nothing worth saving in that cesspool called Baltimore. This speaker is your typical woke liberal. Rather than speaking of the hard work provided by ALL of the workers he wants to segregate the workers by race. A true racist!!!
ОтветитьI worked in death care. The Tyrie business still exist.
Love the old photos!!! Great story.
We have an old marble block in my backyard that I'm %99 sure came from one of these quarries.
ОтветитьMy grandfather worked in the Texas quarry and my father lived in the tenant houses that were mentioned early on in the video. My father used to swim at the swim club and tell stories about people drowning there and how difficult it was to retrieve the bodies. He would never let us swim there. Said it was too dangerous.
ОтветитьI wonder if Hugh Sisson the beer guy was a relative?
ОтветитьGreat lecture! My ancestors from Ireland, surname "Rose", were there for some time. Probably lived at Almshouse for a short time before moving back to Baltimore City.
