Hi Brandon, watched this months ago and i thought i had commented, you guys need need to shorten your shorts man, too long. I was born there when it still had Southern ahead of Rhodesia, so that dates me. Last year i managed to get a complete military import to South Africa. good video. Brings back memories. Cheers mate.

My father was in the Selous Scouts in the Rhodesian war. He was the youngest Selous Scout to make it at the age of 18. Confirmed kills by the age of 21 was 122. I have all of his gear from the war. Backpack, Beret, wings, mortar (yes a mortar), we had to get rid of the guns including in his FAL and grenades. Large amount of ammo as well which still lies around scattered all over the place. My father passed away in 2020 to cancer and was a die hard Rhodesian until the day he died. The nick name of Rhodesians is "when we" because Rhodesians talks about when we were in Rhodesia and a story ensues. My father always said he feels sorry for me and my siblings because we never got the life they lived which he claimed was the best life ever comparing to how we grew up in current South Africa.

My step father was in the war there. He developed anti-sam7 missile measures for aircraft and other RRAF stuff. The SADF copied isrealis Galil as well. That FAL would shoot the guy behind the tree. 😊
