Jews nowadays are somewhere between a purely religious group (e.g. Buddhism and Christianity) and a ethno-religious group (e.g. Shintoism). Judaism became the way it is today because it existed as minority groups within seas of vastly larger religions to which it stood in competition with for 2000 years. And since it was outcompeted everywhere due to its abolition of active missionary work (it used to be a proselytizing religion like Christianity 2000 years ago), the Jewish communities started looking inwards wherever they were and thus starting ethnicities within ethnicities.
Ответить“Anyone who has blue eye and white skin” isra*l is worse than n*zi Germany
ОтветитьI always thought to be jewish was by blood, where you had to share one of the 12 sons of Israel as common ancestor. So I literally thought each jew was taught their lineage and that was the bond.
ОтветитьMy grandad was a German Jew who left Germany sometime between 1935-1938. He escaped to the UK and married my Protestant grandmother. They didn't make my Dad, 2 uncles and an aunt become Jewish or Protestant My dad married my Roman Catholic and me and my bro were raised as Catholics. But I stopped going to church at 16 and I've always wondered "what if The Nazis had never been?" - I would almost certainly be German Jewish and probably still live in Germany but now I'm someone else because of Hitler and his fellow wankers. My great grandparents were supposed to be well known hatmakers and had between 4 - 6 hatmaking shops all over Germany but they were stolen by the Nazis. I want to learn more about Judaism and also find out more about our family history as we dont have much knowledge on where dad's side of the family comes from - just a few documents that we found a few years ago in my grandads Merchant Navy sailor's pouch. That was in the records at Kew Gardens and it even contained the dodgy pass that he escaped with (it says his place of birth was "Dessau, Poland" - but Dessau is 295 miles from the Polish border! XD
ОтветитьHi, I am Jew and my Jewish identity is strong than ever in the past weeks.
I am Israeli and I live in Israel from birth. Also my parents and my maternal grandmother too.
My nation is on its most horrifying and mourning days since many many years. Please pray for us fellow Israeli Jewish and un Jewish friends 😢
So, because my grandfather was Jewish, his parents both being Jewish refugees from Poland, does that make me Jewish according to the legal definition from 1970?
ОтветитьI as a human being do not wish to be labeled like a can of fish ...i am ME and always will be !
ОтветитьStill confused.
ОтветитьI'm fed up with this talk about Jews. Because of this, I lost what little sympathy I had for them. Enough!
Ответитьeasy, a Rabbi barges into your hospital room and stamps a star of david on your head at random
ОтветитьWouldn't it be decided by who the Torah says is a Jew?
ОтветитьFrom studying both my family tree and my DNA, 30% of my ancestors were Ashcanasizi Jews. Yet because my ancestory is through a male line, I am not a Jew. In the age of DNA, paternity can be verified, yet we are not recognized. My ancestors came from Poland, Russia, Germany, and Eastern Europe.
ОтветитьEzekiel 16, 2345
ОтветитьAbraham is not a Jewish. He is a Hebrew. Jacob is not a jew, I mean Israelites are not a jew. Only the descendants of the tribe of JudA. To b a Jewish you needs be a decendant of the tribe of JudA. We need to know that God made a covenant to Abraham, Jacob, and to David. It concerns about bloodline not according to title of belief. 😮
ОтветитьI'm 1% ashkenazi jew.
ОтветитьThis video is very sad as he never does identify nor teach the viewer what must exist in a verifiable biological track record in order to be a Jew. By definition to be Jewish the lineage has to come through the mother not the father who has to be Jewish and you have to be one of the descendants of one of the 12 tribes of the Hebrews via the patriarch Jacob. 95 to 97% of Hasidic are not Jews at all, they typically are either Khazar or Ashkenazi which are not Jews by definition.. Khazar cannot be a Jew and 95 to 97% of self-claimed European Jews are not Jewish including the 6 million supposed who allegedly died in the Holocaust
ОтветитьLoved this. My experience as a Jew has been refreshing and has filled a void that had been empty for too long. We're a motley crew, with mixed marriages and complicated relationships with Christians, but we continue to encourage those searching for God and meaning in this life to worship with us. For that, and more, I am eternally grateful. Not Jewish and like to argue, LOL, visit a temple! You may decide it's to your liking as we kind of love to debate.

ОтветитьFeeling Empty?
What does it take to be a Christian?
Faith in Christ plus Nothing
Matthew 3:36
He that believeth on the Son hath everlasting life: and he that believeth not the Son shall not see life; but the wrath of God abideth on him.
John 3:16-17
For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.
For God sent not his Son into the world to condemn the world; but that the world through him might be saved.
The Gospel
1 Corinthians 15:1-4
Moreover, brethren, I declare unto you the gospel which I preached unto you, which also ye have received, and wherein ye stand;
By which also ye are saved, if ye keep in memory what I preached unto you, unless ye have believed in vain.
For I delivered unto you first of all that which I also received, how that Christ died for our sins according to the scriptures;
And that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures:
Romans 10:13
For whosoever shall call upon the name of the Lord shall be saved.
Faith Alone in the Death, Burial and Resurrection of Jesus Christ (God) to Forgive your Sins through His blood. By believing in this you have become a new creature in Christ, and have a promise you’ll be with the Lord in your death, but also have the Holy Spirit living in you forever as a guide for you. If you believe, from that moment on to eternity you are saved (No matter how much you struggle with sin after).
2 Corinthians 4:13-14
We having the same spirit of faith, according as it is written, I believed, and therefore have I spoken; we also believe, and therefore speak;
Knowing that he which raised up the Lord Jesus shall raise up us also by Jesus, and shall present us with you.
Romans 3:23-25
For all have sinned, and come short of the glory of God;
Being justified freely by his grace through the redemption that is in Christ Jesus:
Whom God hath set forth to be a propitiation through faith in his blood, to declare his righteousness for the remission of sins that are past, through the forbearance of God;
Romans 3:10-12
As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:
There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.
They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.
Hell or Heaven?
Matthew 10:28
And fear not them which kill the body, but are not able to kill the soul: but rather fear him which is able to destroy both soul and body in hell.
Matthew 23:13
Ye serpents, ye generation of vipers, how can ye escape the damnation of hell?
HELL IS A REAL LOCATION
ALL NON CHRISTIANS WILL BE THERE AND ARE THERE CURRENTLY
John 14:6
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
A PRAYER BY FAITH FOR SALVATION IN JESUS CHRIST
“I know that I am a sinner and need your forgiveness. I believe that Christ died for my sins and rose three days later from the grave. Thank you for forgiving my sin on the cross. You alone Jesus is now why I have forgiveness and eternal life. Thank you in Jesus name. Amen.”
If you have prayed this with faith you are Forgiven and now in the Body of Christ.
Welcome brother or sister, I’m excited to meet you one day. Remember saying a prayer does not save you, having Faith does in Jesus and what He did for you.
I encourage you to study the Word of God (KJV Bible Translation) and it would greatly help you to find Godly Bible Believing church as well.
God Bless
So according to this video anybody who wants to identify as a Jew can identify?
ОтветитьYehovah was black.
ОтветитьGenerally speaking being "Jewish" or being a Jews is either through "blood or faith" , it's similar like becoming an American either through blood , naturalization. However, in America or other countries becoming a citizen of that country can simply be through immigration laws like through investment or providing a value.
ОтветитьTO BE JEWISH IS TO BE JEWISH BY DAD NOT BY MOM. IN ETHIOPIA YOUR RACE GOES BY YOUR DAD AND NAMED AFTER DAD. TO BE JEWISH IS TO BE JEWISH BY DAD NOT BY MOM ISMAEL IS CHILD OF ABRAHAM HE IS JEWISH ARABS HALF JEWISH HAGAR IS EGYPTIAN NOT AN ARAB OF THAT TIME ISMAEL MARRIED ARAB GIRLS FROM YEMEN THEN HIS CHILDREN BECAME HALF ARAB BUT ISMAEL IS EGYPT AND HEBREW. ITZACK IS FROM HEBREW DAD ABRAHAM AND HEBREW MOM SARA. SO YITZACK WAS 100% HEBREW PLUS ABRAHM AND SARAH WAS BROTHERS AND SISTERS DIFFERENT MOM SAME DAD CALLED TARA. WHEN JEWS MOVED TO EU THERRE IS LOTS OF MIX WITH EU PEOPLE. PROBABLY LIKE ISMAEL 'S CHILDREN MOST ARE 25% JEWISH BECAUSE OF MIX. THERE MAY BE MANY WHO DID NOT MIX I DONT KNOW. SYRIA IS SEMITIC. PALESTINE IS SEMITIC. THE FIRST PALESTINE CANNAN THAT EXISTED IS NOT THE SAME RACE THAT IS HAMITIC OR BLACK. AFRICA WAS FOR HAM. TEMPERATE AREA TO SHEM THEN COLD AREA TO JAPHET. THE ISRAEL LAND IS GIVEN TO ISZACK GENESIS 12. LAND OF CANNAN IS ISRAEL IT SAYS. ABRAHAM BEFORE HE DIE HE SENT HIS CHILDREN TO DIRECTION OF EAST TO JORDAN TO EGYPT TO ETHIOPIA AND YEMEN. HE GAVE ABRAHAM ALL HE HAD TO ISRAEL NOT ISMAEL. WE ASY ITSACK IS FIRST BORN OF SARA NOT ABRAHAM. ABRAHAMS FIRST BORN IS ISMAEL. ADD LISTEN =ISMA , ELOHE ELAHE ALLAH=QURAN. I WOULD SAY IS 614 LAW NEGLECTED.
Ответить“ they call themselves Jews but are wolves in sheep clothing and synagogue of devils” who call themselves Jews and who control Hollywood and the music industry ?and look at what they are promoting. We might not know who are Jews but we know damn well the ones who call themselves Jews aren’t
ОтветитьMy father, my grandparents, my great grandparents, my 2nd, 3rd, 4th 5th, 6th ..... great grandparents were all Jewish (both Ashkenazi and Sephardic) but I'm told that because my mother wasn't Jewish, I'm not Jewish. How crazy is this?
I understand that according to traditional Jewish law, Jewish status is determined on the basis of matrilineality. Prior to the Rabbinic period (70 - 500) there is however little trace of matrilineal descent. Prior to this period, a purely patrilineal descent, regardless of the identity of the mother, would appear to have been the norm.
Thanks very much for this report with full impartiality and facts!
ОтветитьI was raised Christian but recently found out I am Mizrahi on my moms side and decided to take part in Messianic Judaism, a form of Judaism that believes in Jesus. Sadly though the Law of Return doesn’t apply to me even though I take part in the same Jewish customs as everyone else
ОтветитьJewish means you're a descendant from the kingdom of Judah. And there is also the concept of converting, which is joined in, sins the kingdom was founded on the Torah and the Torah kept this nation alive. And Torah said you should accept converts.

ОтветитьI was born jewish, but me and my mother consider ourself apostates and non jewish. I know the religious law would not agree. Nobody is perfect.
ОтветитьSo if you’re a Jew By Choice (Gone through the process, Mikveh and all) but don’t have a grandparent that’s Jewish, the you’re not considered Jewish in Israel?
ОтветитьFor us today, spiritually, The Bible ends this discussion from what I see. ROMANS 2:28-29. All who are in CHRIST through faith are Abrahams descendants!!
ОтветитьIt is actually in Genisys. God wants man to follow the blood of Adam. But the logic and science of man says mans logic is better than GOD so they follow the blood of Eve.
So a true jew is following blood of Adam and the end times need Pharisees to trace their bloodline going back 2,000 and will fail unless they followed blood of Adam.
I am a Jew!
ОтветитьSo 2 Jews who each have a Jewish grandmother have kids and their kids are NOT Jewish?
If that's the case, 9/10 of Jews aren't actually Jewish. Every generation get watered-down a little more.
I am not a Jew, so maybe I should not talk about it, but I have read a lot about this topic from different perspectives and think that it is even more complicated than this video shows. What is specific about Jewish identity, it can both mean nationality and religion. Atheists can call themselves Jewish and even many believers of Judaism will count them as such if they had Jewish ancestors. There are also many branches of Judaism and because of religion converts to Reform Judaism may identify themselves as Jews and others from this branch will, but Zionist nationalists or Judaism Orthodox will not. As main branch of Judaism is Ashkenazi with is different movements there is no question, if Sephardic and Mizrahi are Jews, but although during hard times Ethiopians believing in Haymanot Judaism were allowed to immigrate to Israel there is a history of discrimination of them there. Another controversy is about people who have clearly Jewish ancestors even parents, but convert to other religions like become Christians or Muslim. There is even a discussion about Messianic Judaism. There are also Karaites and Samaritans and question if their believes are branch of Judaism or something different (usually they or others do not call them Jews, but in both cases many count them as branches of Judaism). As you said, haters like German Nazi could classify somebody as a Jew because of one ancestor thought he or she had nothing to do with that culture or religion and there were cases when even nationalist or/and religion fanatic of different group was treated as a Jew, yet they haven't felt any conation to being Jewish. As with other identities, in my opinion the most important is if an individual person thinks of themself as being a Jew, but others may not respect that.

Ответить@thomas Barca, may I ask which company fid your DNA test? Most do not track Maternal line.
ОтветитьIf you are born Jewish or convert, in my eyes you are still not Jewish. To be Jewish you have to go through life caring for others, persisting through the worst that can happen, and creating something new. If you don’t do those things, I don’t think your Jewish. That’s why I don’t think Weinstein is Jewish, or others like him. He was not caring, and thus failed.
ОтветитьAnother crazy thing is Hitler was about the Aryan civilization, but they’re from India in the Indus valley. They would’ve been dark skinned! Oops, just so she goes to show you how stupid to judge the actions of an ignorant few on an entire demographic and vice versa, the reason I say, that is because we seem to be doing the same thing on a lower scale on a daily basis as a societal structure. Otherwise we wouldn’t have ethnic enclaves, and would actually be united, which was our( all of our) mission statement.
ОтветитьAnd whether or not you’re Jewish or Christian you wanna hear another cool thing? Even if you believe Meshiack has not come again, Jesus was Jewish and he said in Matthew 517 through 23 not to put away the least of the laws of Torah. So essentially, if Christians want to believe Jesus, they would do the same thing as Jewish people are doing. Even after Christ done, his closest followers would have known everything that Christ told them still came back to the holy city to observe Pentecost a Jewish holiday after their master had been slain., That is when they received the blessing of the Holy Spirit when they listened to what Christ said in Matthew, 517 to 23, so I don’t personally consider myself religious or dogmatic, but I like to see synchronicity and correlation in historical accounts. Hopefully you appreciate it.
