ОтветитьLyrics I used to think it was partly in German but it was just their accent.
Still still still
Let all the earth be still
For Mary in her arms enfolding
Hope of all the world is holding
Still still still
Let all the earth be still
Sing sing sing
Sweet angel voices sing
While Jesus lies in manger dreaming
Seraph choirs from heaven are streaming
Sing sing sing
Sweet angel voices sing
Light light light
Let all the earth be light
The holy star its news ablazing
Sign of hope for nations raising
Light light light
Let all the earth be light
Sleep holy Jesus sleep

This reminds me of a dream I had one time. I was flying really high and it took me a very long time to get there somebody was leading me and I kept wondering, when are we going to get there, this is really far and then finally I heard a lot of fluttering of wings as we were entering a building and we were all squashed in there at the top and since I was one of the first in, I was at the very top and couldn't see anything. Then I realized we were all angels at the nativity, the birth of Yeshua our savior and we were singing to him. It was a very touching dream that I'll never forget.
ОтветитьAnybody have the lyrics? Beautiful! Wunderschon!

ОтветитьJust hate it when the music drowns our beautiful voices.
ОтветитьSuch a beautiful carol, sung by one of the best cathedral choirs, thank you for this heavenly peaceful music, happy Christmas
ОтветитьXmas 2021.
Wishing you all a very happy and peaceful Christmas.
Amen.
🙏🙏🎄
Strings too loud.
ОтветитьArmonizzazione bellissima....
ОтветитьBeautiful rendition. Thank you Winchester.
ОтветитьAmazing!! Praise be to the newborn King!
ОтветитьThe string arrangement is exquisite. I just wish the singers heard and appreciated that. It's like two different performances on top of eachother. The strings make me weep, truly.

ОтветитьStunningly beautiful
ОтветитьI sang this song with my choir in college way back in the 80s. This version is so beautiful it is bringing tears to my eyes.
ОтветитьBeautiful!
ОтветитьMack Wilberg (MTC) arrangement, beautifully performed. Lovely to hear in German.

One of the loveliest of Christmas Carols With reverence sung Thank You
ОтветитьI admire these boys to have an opportunity to sing in a cathedral choir. It teaches them what is meant by sublimity & harmony in life.
ОтветитьBest sung a cappella and without this slushy orchestral accompaniment - or the descant. It's a simple Christmas cradle song! Predictably, the Vienna Boys Choir know how to sing it.
ОтветитьRicher notes of Christmas spring from all cultures and perdure through time and space.
ОтветитьAnd out of the darkness there rose a light, illuminating the deepest corner of the human heart.
This Mack Wilberg arrangement achieves a tenderness that is profoundly beautiful.
2018 update: I return again to hear this great song in the darkest time of the year, reassured that some things never get old, never lose their beauty.
it seems a bit 'fast'.
Ответить
ОтветитьWonderful interpretation of a beautiful Austrian carol.I have sung this carol in a small community choir many years ago.I simply thought there was not much better music than that carol.
ОтветитьAbsolutely stunning-moves the Spirit.
ОтветитьI prefere it in German but this is still very good
ОтветитьMack Wilberg has really transformed this piece with his arrangement. It's stunning...
ОтветитьVanderflash, this lovely arrangement is apparently by Mack Wilberg. This is according to the BBC website.
ОтветитьMerry Christmas and Happy New Year !!! Thank you for share !!!
