Thank you very much. Greate video.
ОтветитьThis was the best video about the two platform.
I believe I can make a better decision.
This was super helpful - thanks for being real about both platforms! I've had over 13 years experience freelancing, but need to pick up some extra work & am researching both. Your take on the woes of Fiverr gave me shudders. I knew it was pretty bad, but didn't realize the full extent.... it seems more like the 6th circle of hell vs 2nd or 3rd circle.... I think I'll go with Upwork lol!
Ответить👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾👍🏾 Very articulate and helpful.
ОтветитьYou are been discriminatory if the buyer said no black people and you add black people you shouldn't get paid period. Stop been racist a d respect costumer request. You sound like a spoiled American kid a d you should appreciate that not be spoiled
ОтветитьThis is like the best video I've ever seen 😄 Super helpful, thank you!
ОтветитьI just hate the bidding stuff on UpWork... majority of proposals are not even looked at, so I have to pay to spend a proposal that someone is most likely to ignore if you're not fortunate enough to be one of the first three people to apply. It's BS. Isn't it enough that they get a cut? And now that I understand that buyers have to pay to reach out to freelancers... it's even more crazy that they have us bidding for work like this. Talk about taking advantage of people who need work.
ОтветитьThank you Tyra. This is really helpful. I am a coach and consultant so because work life balance is important for me, I’m leaning towards UpWork.
Ответитьthis is very helpful😊
ОтветитьThanks for taking the time to upload this useful video! I can put my 5 cents into working on Upwork-in my 4 years of being on the platform and working as a content writer I barely had any good gigs at all (hourly high-paying jobs) and it has become even worse recently cos everybody and their mother wants to work from home. As far as fees-it has changed since you first registered: now it's fixed 10% for all jobs, regardless of your income and customer service got worse for freelancers: I feel like Upwork "kisses" clients' asses and sometimes unfairly judges when it comes to freelancer-client problems. I've recently had one client filing 2 disputes against me and, even though I submitted all the evidence that I logged in my hours correctly, support team still gave that client some of my money back. This is appalling to me that Upwork has this "client/buyer is always right" policy just because they don't want them to leave the site. To prove my point further: they have recently got rid of phone support for freelances, just chat/filing tickets while clients still have phone support option. That's discriminatory in my opinion cos freelancers are getting charged for every job as well as a client, so we are paying to use the site's services and we can't get phone support. Chat is hit or miss: sometimes you can get an agent, but 80% of the time you get this automated message that there are no support agents available and they would prompt you to file a ticket where you have to wait for a day or two for response. That sucks.
ОтветитьHigh quality Services!
ОтветитьThis video is high quality.
ОтветитьIm fron south africa and have recently started with upwork. I have completed my first project. I received an email that i need to pay a $50 refundable linking fee to receive my payment. Anyone also had this. Very scared to be scammed.
ОтветитьUPWORK IS A SCAM... The rating system is fraud for many clients as well as freelancers - UPWORK suppresses bad ratings to make bad people look good , and con more victims. The entire payment system is a money grab for them with no accountability to you. AVOID THEM AT ALL COSTS.
ОтветитьI just like how you speak, your clarity, persona, perspective and above all you're pretty.
This space is your thing, and glad you have found your spot
can you make a video about developing a freelancer business outside this platforms?
ОтветитьIn love with all you daid ,so informationative, cant believe it didn't get bored all along😅😅😅😅😅thank you 🎉
ОтветитьWow, i was going to start using fiverr but thanks to this vid i rather pass, thanks for the info,, very helpful
ОтветитьWhy am i not getting legit jobs on upwork? I keep receiving those that want to discuss on telegram
ОтветитьYet again Ty another amazing video I need to connect with you and ask some questions
ОтветитьHey girl, Elizabeth Richey here!!! Found your channel again recently and checking out your videos and as someone who has been on upwork for 4+ years, I'm a HUGE fan! And I'd say 80% of my existing clientele started out as upwork projects and evolved to direct billing after completion. I've considered Fivver in the recent past but the cons you went over made me really want to stay with Upwork. 😂😂😂 I love the guaranteed pay, timesheets and customer service. Update, you no longer have to buy connects. I get 80/mth for free just for being/staying active on upwork. Also the buyer/seller on upwork now allows you to switch profiles within the one website, no logging in and out back and forth.
Ответитьwow they both sound like they're even worse than having a regular job.
ОтветитьGreat explained Upwork my best platform
ОтветитьAwesome content m’lady💫
ОтветитьGreat video, I was trying to decide between the two platforms. You gave me a lot to think about, thanks Tyra. You have a great camera presence BTW. I'm an actress, so I noticed.
ОтветитьSuper helpful thanks so much for the content
ОтветитьFantastic video!!! I just wanted to mention, for anyone struggling with the math on fiverr earnings, just multiply your net earnings from the website (whatever $ is leftover after fiverr's cut) by 1.2 and that will show the gross amount you earned. So another way to say it is: when x equals net earnings, 1.2x=gross earnings.
ОтветитьThis video was so informative very helpful I really appreciate it new sub ❣️❣️❣️
ОтветитьToo many wrong facts ….
ОтветитьI think you just explained why I had major login trouble with Upwork. The fact that there are two apps, which is hella confusing, and that you can’t be logged in on both at the same time, might explain why I could not log on to my existing account on my PC or via the web, only by the mobile app, which stays logged in. The customer service bot was of absolutely zero help and I couldn’t get a person on the phone to help me. I ended up placing a poor review on the Upwork app on the Apple Store out of frustration with a detailed explanation of my issue. Left to solve my own problem I ended up abandoning my account and closing it. I made a new account, and that seemed to solve the problem. I’ve been giving consideration to working with Fiverr as well but I think I’ll start with Upwork first first and see how that goes. Thank you so much for this very detailed explainer. It was very helpful.
ОтветитьGreat video! Very informative and you answered a lot of my questions thank you!
ОтветитьThis was a kick ass video.
ОтветитьFor Fiverr, if I get a whole bunch of orders and I can’t complete them all before the due date, is there any way to postpone them or say I’m all booked for the week? I don’t want to be negatively impacted because someone bought a gig without consulting me first and seeing if I have availability.
ОтветитьFiverr removed the buyer request and that’s another con now 😭
ОтветитьIs this a good service fir a video podcaster
ОтветитьLeave Fiverr and stick with Upwork.
ОтветитьThank You! Excuse me but you could say that you're hardship is paying off but keep your head up and keep making them $$$. Thank You for the tips.
ОтветитьI am also a freelancer on upwork and I have submitted some proposal according to my services but I don't get any clients and work. Though, it's been a month and nothing happened....still same.
Did I have done anything wrong or something?
Can you please help me sort out this problem ?
Great video, this is an eye opener. Please I am newbie in Upwork and trying to create my portfolio and I don't have previous work to show, how do I get clients or people to buy my job.
ОтветитьHere is a woman who whines about discrimination, then goes on to complain about "foreign" sellers "who don't speak English" like people from the "UK". You realise where English comes from, right? How mentally impaired is this woman?
ОтветитьFiverr constant 20% fee is a scam, Upwork rules!
ОтветитьThank you Sis ! I'm think about Upwork . Awesome Job Sis!
ОтветитьI will do data entry on excel sheet
ОтветитьHi I am a frelancer on fiver
ОтветитьExcuse me, but English originated from England in the UK. I am English. I speak better English than you Americans. Kindly edit that mistake out of your video.
ОтветитьNothing racist to want a pic with only “white people”. Stop pulling the racist card
ОтветитьGreat vid Tyra. I dont belong to either platform as yet. I was a copywriter (with a science degree) for many years back in the actually "Work for an Ad Agency" days! After a very very very lengthy tropical retirement, I am looking back into copywriting. What are the chances of making a "Consistent" 550 Australian dollars (372 US) every week on either platforms? It obviously isn't much and I assume it should be easily achievable, but the digital age has totally levelled put the playing field in a huge way. Thanks Tyra
ОтветитьPls I need a simplified video that explains the Upwork window. The various tools and their functions. Thanks your lessons are very captivating.
