I was following this tutorial and couldn't figure out the "mkinitcpio" command part i just can't seem to find it on my system no man entry and cant install it through apt

great video thanks found it very helpfull. can you please confirm that you can get HDMI output threw the GPU HDMI direct to monitor???...

For people using the zen kernel and can't get an output from sudo mkinitcpio -p linux

write sudo mkinitcpio -p linux-zen

If you use a light windows version like XOS, than you can even compensate the overhead of the VM.

You should have told that it's an arch tutorial in the beginning. Wasted an hour trying to figure out why i dont have mkinitpcio.

sudo mkinitcpio -p linux returns "mkinitcpio: command not found"

Isn’t AMD-V something a lot different from IOMMU?

i was able to do this on ubuntu (kubuntu) with some tweaking of commands on the cmd line and i got it working! awesome tutorial!

as I can activate that option does not appear so specifies intel vt-d but I see activate virtualization only, will it be the same or is something different?, I am using an HP ENVY Laptop 15-ep0xxx

For anyone watching this is 2023. If you have the zen kernal you need to do linux-zen when rebuilding the init. And also because currently there is no nvidia driver for zen you need to put nouveau instead of nvidia.

great tutorial. Alas mkinitcpio seems to be an Arch Linux thing. Perhaps the title needs changing to reflect that this is for Arch users?
