Ответитьthanks for this post
ОтветитьAmazing video !
ОтветитьIshq I believe is suppose to be unconditional love which has incomprehensible intensity. Closest example I guess is love of a child and mother. Innocent love without any worldly desire. When there is no separation.
This is What I understood I could be wrong. Great video and I do agree with all you have said even your explanations because a lot of people don’t seem to get what you are saying and are high on criticism.
Thanks for your good recount of great and holy people.
With all respect to you and with the intention of offering a constructive criticism, permit me to point out the following:
1. The subject you deal with is central to man, when we see you dressed in a sports T shirt with what appears to be a ear ring, and you call holy and great people “guys” one sees the influence of the modern fashion in these.
2. If one understands and believe and practice a Reveal Religion whether in its most popular or esoteric perspective one ought to measure one words and one’s appearance.
It would be an intellectual contradiction otherwise.
Salaam

You do know Mr Holm that RABIA in spanish means rage right?
ОтветитьIt intrigues me how those who are drawn to the arts e.g. dance, writings, drawing/painting often flocked to Sufism. Maybe it's the understanding of someone who creates in a way themselves that makes them aware of the love their Lord has for them. But I find that to be a very interesting part of Sufism.
ОтветитьNot as husband but as Companion or Friend , God as husband is insultive term to God
ОтветитьSalam 🌸Can you please talk about one of mevlana shaykh al akbar ibn arabi.. Sayida Fatima al qurtubia ✨💚

ОтветитьIslam is my beloved
ОтветитьI thoroughly enjoyed this presentation. I can agree with the Sufi that I am in love with maybe what some call God, I call truth. Morality. Ethics. That is the most fulfilling love one can have for themselves, and for all Humanity. For all life. All sentient beings.
ОтветитьThanks!!
ОтветитьRabi'a al-Basra reminds me, quite strongly, of Meerabai in the Bhakti Tradition.
Ответитьas salamualiakume wa rahamatullah:WOUND IT BE BETTER IF YOU HAD A WOMEN COMMENTING ON THIS SUBJECT.
ОтветитьTo put it simply; because women are meant to be wives and daughters it is how nature has it. If women were meant to be rulers and emperors then they would be via their biology which is not wired that way despite what modern world tells you.
ОтветитьSufism has nothing to do with exotic love . Sufi poets use words like beautiful women for the beloved but not exotic or sexual way . In Sufism the person has to destroy lower soul this include lust , is the upper hand of lower soul .
ОтветитьI was expecting at least some reference to the legendary sufi love story Layla and Majnun - no piece of sufi literature had impacted sufi poetry the way Layla and Majnun has
ОтветитьTHANKS FOR BRINGING THIS VIDEO 📹
NOW I KNOW THAT YOU TOO!!.. RECOGNISE WOMEN 🚺
WE LISTEN TO LEARN!!.. AMEEN!!
"Rabia preferred God as her only husband" do you really think that this sentence is appropriate??? How can you relate such words of lust and erotic things with God ?
May Allah give us hidayat
Please note that there is a serious error in your explanation of "hub" or love and that which you call eroticism . The love that the sufis express has nothing to do with sexual eroticism or any gender at all. To understand it a little better you can relate to the difference between the sexual feelings of men compared to women and then the eunuchs . All relate differently to sex and love. While have a more physical and sexual orientation towards love women and eunuchs relate it more to the feelings of intimacy and union of being. Sufis being refined souls, reach such states of consciousness that brings a different kind of ecstasy that has nothing at all to do with physical eroticism and all to do with spiritual ecstasy. When rabia talks about being alone with her beloved while others linger on to their mortal loves and lovers , she talks about being in the company of that which encompasses ALL and leaves no desire for that which is timely not mortal . The gender is not the issue here because it is just a representation of something unexplainable in words that relate as much as possible. He or she is not an issue for those who seek beyond that which is obvious .
ОтветитьLIFE is a journey MAYA rabia OM sathi etc Hindu Muslim CHRIST. Face is different but story is same repeating. Yes sky is around ME every moment they are my family. So it shows I was always with you all. But in this LIFE I have to move ON. God bless you all AMEN
ОтветитьNarrated Anas bin Malik: A group of three men came to the houses of the wives of the Prophet asking how the Prophet worshipped (Allah), and when they were informed about that, they considered their worship insufficient and said, "Where are we from the Prophet as his past and future sins have been forgiven." Then one of them said, "I will offer the prayer throughout the night forever." The other said, "I will fast throughout the year and will not break my fast." The third said, "I will keep away from the women and will not marry forever." Allah's Apostle came to them and said, "Are you the same people who said so-and-so? By Allah, I am more submissive to Allah and more afraid of Him than you; yet I fast and break my fast, I do sleep and I also marry women. So he who does not follow MY WAT in religion, IS NOT FROM ME (not one of my followers)." (Sahih Bukari Book #62, Hadith #1)
ОтветитьExcellent
ОтветитьA wonderful woman that the world of Sufism will never forget. May God be pleased with her !
ОтветитьIn African history and myths women are greatly recognised
ОтветитьThanks for all these videos! You are doing wonderful work....

ОтветитьConcept of "noneexistens of self", shunyata, is not applicable to the self of the woman, the feminine. So whatever male teaching exist, it does nothing to them .

ОтветитьThank you so much for your wonderful work 🥰 I keep telling folks about this channel and the great collabs going down with ya’ll 🙏
ОтветитьA major misconception specially in the west regarding the topic of "Ishq" or "Love" in Sufism is the failure to understand that this "Ishq" for God isn't sexual or erotic, rather such ideas will be seen as sin. The "Ishq" for God ie "Ishq-e Haqeeqi" transcends the western idea of love. It's more like the love we feel for our parents but much intense , much pure ..soo strong that you'll like to be lost in it forever with no regards to your own existence (Fanaa).
ОтветитьRabi’a al-Adawiya was one of the first Muslim saints I learned of. I liked her a lot. This is the first time I hear about Aisha al-Ba’uniyah, very interesting woman
ОтветитьI read the graphic novel “Habibi” by Craig Thompson a few years back, and I thought the ending line seemed familiar
ОтветитьAbsolutely fascinating. Have you come across Any parallels to or influence from Taoism here. What I mean is that creation can be seen as the result of the union between two opposites, Yin (female) and Yang (male), becoming one, and thus engaged in the divine act of creation.
