This game, and Assassins Creed 3 have to have been two of my most surreal experiences in gaming while high.

For this game, it wasn't anything SPECIFIC per se, that made me sit and trip out. I was just playing late one night really high, and I was focusing on taking out the Arkham Knight's checkpoints. And each one has a different strategy that you can employ to take it out easily. While I was having fun figuring each one out, I got into this like really philosophical debate with myself in my own head about what the hell a life like Batman's must really be like. Like I was thinking how people are sound asleep warm in their beds, and this dude is really out here on rooftops dodging machine gun fire and pretty much has a exo suit that can take a few shots anyway in case he doesn't do well. But I started thinking like NORMAL people shit lmao. Like is this kind of life SO adrenaline fueled that you don't eat much? Bruce Wayne has a great body, so obviously he has time to work out and eat well. But how long would you sleep in the morning when it's all over? I dunno- I just started thinking about what a no-so mentally healthy person it would take to become this person. It isn't possible for someone - one person- to exercise so much fear and power over the criminal element without coloring outside the lines himself. All that stuff you see in the movies where good guys go "No! I can't kill! I am better than you!" haha! That's just the movies. There is no way that an entity like bruce wayne/batman can fully live life witnessing how much the legal system doesn't work to not just decide to execute a grade A psycho himself.

Ive always been in love with this game. I think that it was a great ending if it should be the end of the Arkham series. I also felt that it was probably one of the first, if not THEE first (along w the other Arkham games) to let you FEEL like what its like to be so great in hand to hand combat, and stealth and how to cleverly use gadgets. I didn't just feel like I was playing as batman, I WAS batman and that is a tremendous experience for a fan, to be the one who is the mind of one of the most iconic characters in comics history.

My ONLY gripe with this game is the whole dance with the Knight's tank at the end. I love the Batmobile parts and the fighting in the tanks. SOME parts of the game it gets a bit cumbersome. But towards the end when they get heavy with the Serpent Drones (I think that's what they're called)- the tanks that only require one shot in the back to take out. Those parts feel more like chores. And then to think that you have to take out like 5 or 6 of those BEFORE you fight the Knight's tank. And then the Knight's tank is apparently running on a Ferrari engine. And if you're caught in their search beams, the controls get all slippery and runny when you try to escape their sight. Probably one of the more frustrating parts of the game, but those parts are VERY few. But in either case, I got through them when I was younger when I played many years ago.

Ofc You're going back to the Generic Everything, Those looks Won't Fucking Cut It. That's why the Suit Change. It might have worked through Asylum and City, but that suit will Not Protect You and Will not Cut It in this Game. Might As well Use the Suit they Give You. The suit You're trying to Use, Will be in Shambles By the end of the Game.

What an outstanding game- COMPLETELY RUINED INTO AN UNIMAGINABLE HELLISH NIGHTMARE, OF SUICIDE CAUSING REPETITIVE TEDIOUS TANK TORTURE DEVICE, WHERE YOU ARE FORCED TO DRIVE THE BATMOBILE THAT MYSTERIOUSLY TURNS INTO A FORD PINTO FULL OF CINDER BLOCKS, WITH MARSHMALLOWS FOR TIRES THAT DOESN'T STEER, OR ACCELERATE AND IS COMPLETELY UNCONTROLLABLE AS TANK AFTER TANK, AFTER TANK, AFTER TANK, AFTER TANK COMPLETELY DESTROYS YOU FORCING YOU TO REPEAT AGAIN, AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN AND AGAIN OVER AND OVER AND OVER FOR 99.99999999999999999999999999999999999% OF THE GAME, KEEPING YOU FROM PLAYING BATMAN AND INSTEAD STUCK IN THIS HELLISH AWFUL TANK FREAKSHOW.
