I dont get it ... 100 Listings? What about seller that have one product (maybe in some variations) but way less than 100 Listings ...so you are saying then the seller shouldnt open an Etsy store?

I was SO scared to watch this video because I just now found it and I am starting month 3. So yip, I've made some mistakes, but I've done some things right too. Quick question: I want to deactivate some listings that may be confusing the algorithm. Will my score plummet? I was thinking of deactivating 3 a day. (19 total). I got off on a tangent and need to get back to my main niche.Thank you again for this. Your insight is exactly what I - what WE need!!

I noticed that military names like US Navy, Airforce, Space Force are all trademarked yet there are hundreds or thousands of shirts with that info on them. Why is ETSY not caring about those but does for others ? The military doesnt care ? Thanks. Mike

you are a wonderful guru in this field and i truly value your insight in this field, please et me offer some advice where my strengths are. Dont record audio in front of a bunch of windows without acoustic treatment. The Audio reflections almost make this unwatchable

Should I have 20 items to start and then add1 item each day moving forward? I am selling vintage and antique items. Also, how many categories should I create? Should I use all 20 categories offered by Etsy?

Thank you SO much for your videos. I've watched 3 or 4 of them back to back yesterday while hyperfocusing on a puzzle (hello ADHD), and I'm watching them again today but this time, taking notes !

I'm a 32yo illustrator from France, and I love to draw cute and cozy things that make people happy. I draw commissions for people + sell my own art (prints and goodies) in conventions, but having multiple chronic illnesses I want to make sure that a part of my income is passive. I've contemplated on selling digital products for a long time now. It's so intimidating cause I'm afraid I'll lack the patience and discipline... But thanks to your videos, I think I'm finally ready to take the plunge !

After a LOT of consideration I've settled on what I'll be selling : Art dedicated to streamers ! like twitch emotes, overlays... I'll be pricing them pretty low (contrary to commissions for instance) yet will try my best to give very high value. It's funny cause I don't play that much or stream (at all), but I LOVE this environment ! My boyfriend is a geek himself haha and a lot of my friends are as well ! So I feel very close to this whole world. Does that make sense ? I also have the soul of a collector, and I really enjoy the idea of making little packs / collections of themed emotes. Did one so far and it felt nice o^.^o

It should be an evergreen niche (active all year), targeted to professionals (or want-to-be). I'll try to make seasonal packs as well (the first one I designed is Halloween themed). "Giftable" is going to be a bit harder so I'll have to think about that.

So my plan for now is :
- Create 19 more packs to finish my first batch, making sure that I actually have fun doing so
- Find a name for the shop
- Commit to those 3 months of daily activity before I open the store.

I'm a bit bummed though cause if I understood you correctly, I need to put in those 3 months of pre-work and won't be able to post during the golden months (October/November/December) ! 😅
Should I try to do it all at the same time and open the shop + list everyday ? Or should I stay patient and keep the store closed until I have 100 listings ?

Anyways. I'll be following your advice very closely and if I manage not to give up, I'll keep you updated regularly ! Thanks again for all your valuable content !

I am a newbie and see this video is quit a few months old but has given me a lot to do and make sure I do right. I am not one to half do something. Well my life has fallen apart and I have to find a revenue stream to relieve stress off my husband. He had quadruple bypass then whil e recovering from being sawed in 2 we got a call in middle of night our eldest daughter died. On top of all that I have extremely aggressive SLE lupus ( which stress brings on flares) so I am on chemo. I think the feeling I’m helping us financially plus not just sitting in this sink whole…..I need something that can accomplish multiple issues. I don’t work due to my illness but I can work on computer and most most of all I need to help my husband stress level and income… I’m highly motivated… I think a POD model best suits me. I need help on how to make sure this is set up professionally and finds traffic. I know it takes times and I’m willing to do the work. I have several niche markets for ideas but they are different so I set up several stores or can Etsy do that for me?oh I have so many questions but the fee of one on one isn’t doable right now between my husband’s medical bills, a funeral total absurd n costly, then my medical expenses. I’m not whining I want to climb out to help my loves… any thoughts of best way to precede?

I have invested between 10-20 hours listening to several other "Etsy Experts" before and after opening my Etsy Shop about 2 months ago and I have gotten more value from 1 hour of your coaching than from many hours of theirs.

You shared some extremely salient tips for success in Etsy that NONE of the others shared, I mean things that no one should even open an Etsy shop before learning these things, and nobody else felt it important enough to share.

That's a crying shame!

I have been on etsy for about one month selling hand engraved one off items, shop name Dixie Engraving. Selling one off pieces of hand drawn / hand engraved art is not exactly scalable, but is about as niche as it gets so that section of this video is extremely useful to me. Being a very industrial individual, etsy and online sales in general is something brand new to me but also something I am extremally excited to gain knowledge in. I have no point to this comment other than to thank you.

My store is JGBrooksPhotography. It has had very low sales and I am in the process of updating it. Also, I have been told that only those buyers that "join" can leave a review. This would really cut down on reviews as I know I don't join other websites to place an order. Your teaching is great and I only wish I had seen it a year ago when I started.

if you are making AI Art, How you are able to make 300 dpi images and less than 20mb file size for Etsy. Which website or software do you use? AI website gives us very low resolution images.

I am currently on week 6 of working on my travel prints and posters store. It's called CinematicImage. I would appreciate if you would have a look and would love to hear your thoughts. Working with patience and consistency, however not seeing organic visits or views at all so far. What worries me is that I actually opened the store in 2019, but after posting a few low quality listings I ran out of patience and gave up. I didn't close the store and got back at it a few weeks ago. I deleted all the old listings and updated everything on the store, from banner to bio etc... But not getting much action at all. Do you think the fact that my store has been open but unattended since 2019 is damaging my discoverability now? Should I open a new one?

I came to your channel from Reddit and honestly you're such a breath of fresh air. I love how honest and straight forward you are. So many people try to spin etsy as this passive income but I can't wrap my head around what is passive for them? It takes A LOT of work and I just pushed my store live with some listings this week. Now I have a concrete plan to follow for those 365 listings (cries). I do have several ideas for digital downloads -- are you of the philoshophy to stick with one thing (ex printable art) or try a mix throughout the 365 to see what will get more sales and traffic?

I'm glad I encountered this video when I did. I opened my digital Etsy shop a little over a week ago, I've done about 3-4 listings every day (some variations of the same thing), and I made my first sale today!
I definitely need to niche down, but I'm still figuring out where my groove is while I learn the platform. But I love the idea of batching products, because I know I've been scattered in terms of product category and trend.
