Things I Wish I Knew Earlier In The Witcher 3 Wild Hunt (Tips & Tricks)

I never played it. Are there things like OPTIONAL Dungeons besides from the Story? Is there any Quality side content aside from Story?

After nearly 1000 hours in this game I just today accidentally found out that if you don Geralt's Nilfgaardian armor set (purchased from the Quartermaster in upper Crow's Perch (the merchant right by Joanna the Blacksmith, and Fergus,))you can gain entry into the House of Respite that sits just northwest of the Nilfgaardian war camp (which, itself, sits in the far southeast corner of Velen.)

Turn to the right after you enter the building and you'll find a unique winged Nilfgaardian helm, like the ones the soldiers wear! Super cool. You equip it like a mask. It looks weird on Geralt, but almost nobody has it.

I'm the type that buys games just to add to my collection & never actually play them. I would estimate around 65-70% of my games I have never played.

Every other pay check I either buy 1 $50-70 game or several cheaper ones.

I have had the Witcher 3 for about 5 years & never played it. But I have heard so many positive things about it that I've always planned on giving it a try eventually.

About a week ago I finally decided to give it a go & I realized that I've been sleeping on a real gem.

Once I realized that it is going to be a game that I am going to play for awhile I decided to take a peak at it's DLC content which also happens to be on sale. So I bought the Expansion Pass that includes both DLCs for only $14.99.

I also enjoy playing the Gwent Game & I love that you are able to customize your deck & that you are able to find/purchase/win cards throughout the game.

I wish I knew about that silver sword I had other silver swords but the lv req was too high so I had to go with the starter n hell I had a hard time finding a silver sword that I could afford

Is gwent really necessary though? I have no interest in it. It seems they're all side quests that dont impact the main story very much.

Always sell your useless swords and weapons to master Smith and master armours since they give you a lot of money

1st time playing W3WH . Platinum trophy on elden ring and was always gonna join the hunt with the W3 but the new next gen update I had to play . Its a bit boring at 1st but I'm literally on the 2nd mission and at level 2 so I'll stick with it

I’m so gutted that I just can’t play this game.
1 1000’s of stupid items to LOOT everywhere. Loot every enemy, house, cupboard, draw, random items lying around everywhere. Really really HATE having to constantly loot everything.
2 need a degree to understand the way way way way way over complicated item/inventory system. So many tabs, so many items, potions, armour etc it’s exhausting.
3 boring long cutscenes

Oh well, I guess I’m just thick as shit 😭

if you cant work out why you are over encumbered remember your junk has weight it will be the animal skins,when broken down they have no weight

Here now that Witcher 3 has the next gen upgrade

I'm starting this game and i do love it, but I just got to the new region after beating the griffin, and struggling to figure out what to do, and when. I figured I would knock out as many side quests and shit to up my level, but everything seems to be above my current level which is only like 4.5 right now. All the enemies, even in quests with no level suggestion, are like 7+. I suppose i should just stick to the main story for now? idk, this game is awesome though, map is a little overwhelming especially when i hate missing things lol

I'm on level 25 so been playing a while now but I find when I try to replenish my health by eating food or by taking a potion it takes too long for the bar to fill back up which makes it more difficult when fighting harder enemies, it wasn't like this at the start of the game. Am I being a complete idiot here or what?

1st time I played through this whole game it was on my Switch & I loved every min! I put in around +200Hrs & now I’m back to play on my PS5 Upgraded Version‼️

I never worry about Drowners while they're swimming. They never attack me or even act in any manner that suggests they want to attack or even notice me. Probably the buggiest enemy I've come across.

Struggling hard trying to understand the crafting/alchemy portions. I rarely have the right ingredients and I'm gathering whatever I come across but still can't make anything, nor do I understand the learning system for new recipes. Plus my swords are always worn down so quick it's mind blowing.

Sad to say people but I just started playing this game yesterday and as much as I love it so far I'm already overwhelmed. I'm more used to a Diablo type of game

How tf do I kill this stupid warewolf. I played this game years ago and just got it again on switch. I seemed to have gotten to this part really quickly which I don't remember doing the first time around. And I can't kill the fucking thing to save my life.

Im starting my very first witcher game ever (wild hunt) right now. Its a bit overwhelming but here we go!

Loot absolutely everything for sure. 'If it's glowing it's probably worth picking up' are words to live by haha. Sell all the booze you loot, it just makes the visuals and controls blurry and uncoordinated for a few seconds. Accidentally chugging a bottle of wine during a battle and having to fight drunk is amusing a couple of times, but overall it's just annoying. You can one-shot enemies with your crossbow underwater, so if you're getting attacked by harpies on a boat, jump overboard and shoot them underwater to save wrecking your boat

Playing the game for the first time without playing 1&2. I never wanted to play as i don't like rpg games (potions making weapons collecting materials)..

When you mod all these problems away and forgot they weren’t core mechanics… ahaha.

All these years I’ve had this game and I’ve never played it. Can’t wait to dive in.

The dismemberment effects in this game had me addicted. Often i put it on the easiest setting cuz it makes the effects far more realistic. I mean most if not all people would be done after a full force strike from a 4ft razor blade. Cut in half by 2 strikes or dismembered by 1 has really made it even more addicting to play. lol, riding by on a horse having a single swipe take a head off is just f**** awesome..

Just started playing this game like 2 days ago and I’m level 8 right now. Does anyone have current tips on money making aside from just killing the two cows and waiting and selling their hide? I’m having such a hard time keeping my coin up it seems.
